In a previous exclusive interview with Kim Jung-sook, wife of Moon Jae-in, the South Korean women's magazine "Queen" presented "Moon Jae-in in his wife's eyes" with a warmth unlike anything seen before, and the "supportive wife" people had imagined turned out to be somewhat different from expectations.

Kim Jung-sook and Moon Jae-in once studied together at Kyung Hee University. They were a genuine "campus couple," and after a 7-year romance during their university years, they entered the bonds of marriage.

During his student days, Moon Jae-in once collapsed in pain from the smoke of tear gas while taking part in a demonstration against the Yushin Constitution, and was seen by Kim Jung-sook, who happened to be passing by. Kim Jung-sook wiped away his tears with a handkerchief. When Moon Jae-in struggled to open his eyes, the two did not fall in love at first sight as in a movie. Kim Jung-sook said: "Before that, he and I already knew each other. We were just friends.

40 years of married life cultivated boundless understanding between the two. Sometimes a single glance was enough to know what the other was thinking.

Kim Jung-sook said: "The presidential election campaign lasted 3 weeks and required traveling back and forth across the country. The intense schedule was a challenge to my husband's physical strength. All I could do was provide him with a harbor where he could rest fully. When he slept, I would sometimes wake up to tuck him in and check whether he was feeling unwell. The two of us went through many difficult times together, but no matter what difficulties we face from now on, as long as we stand together with one heart, we will surely overcome them."
