I still remember that not long ago, I even went out of my way to buy a pot of snake plant and put it at home. Thinking about it now, it has been a long time since I last tended to it; I have basically been caring for other green plants and flowers. But when I looked at it today, I found that this pot of snake plant had actually filled its pot! And when I casually picked it up, it was surprisingly heavy!

Since the snake plant has already grown into such a large clump, it is time to repot it! This pot of snake plant was growing rather vigorously, and it had also grown a bit taller, so when repotting it, I deliberately chose a larger flowerpot. When I took out this snake plant, I could see that its root system was already very well developed, and it looked white and tender, almost like a chubby little baby.

The next step is to clean up the snake plant. First, take out the prepared nutrient soil and mix it with the soil originally used to grow the snake plant, then put the snake plant back in. After all, the snake plant has already grown this large, and all the nutrients in the original soil have been used up.

Snake plants have rather vigorous vitality, and their ability to survive is extremely strong, so when watering them on ordinary days, we only need to pour the water onto the surface of the snake plant. After watering, take it out to get some sun, and once it has had sun, just place it in a ventilated spot.

To help the snake plant grow faster, we can give it a regular nutrient boost, which can make it grow taller. This one of mine was fertilized only once, and it has already grown this tall. If fellow flower growers want to know what nutrient solution to use, you can use one called Huayu Organic Nutrient Solution.

After buying it, first dilute it 500 to 1000 times, then use the diluted solution to pour just a little onto the soil. Using this kind of fertilizer is not only highly effective, but also relatively hygienic.

When fertilizing a snake plant, the frequency should not be too high; fertilizing just once a month is enough. If you find that your snake plant is still growing quite well, then the fertilizing frequency can be changed to once every three months, and that is fine too. Also, after repotting, it needs to be watered once. Of course, this watering only needs to moisten the soil; there is no need to water it thoroughly.

If you want the snake plant to grow even better next year, repotting it is a very crucial step. If it continues to be grown in its original flowerpot, it may suffer from nutrient deficiency, which can easily limit the snake plant's development. So once we find that the original snake plant has filled its pot, we should repot it in time!
