This plant has a lovely name: Orange Jessamine (Murraya paniculata). It stays evergreen all year round and is very easy to grow. The main thing is that it is very drought-tolerant and won't die even without water for a month, and when it blooms, the fragrance is quite rich. As a potted plant, it is beautiful and easy to care for.

The flowers of Orange Jessamine are pure white, with a natural blooming period from April to September, and a rich fragrance stronger than that of jasmine. Keeping a pot at home can even serve as a mosquito-repelling plant. If you find its scent too strong, you can simply keep it on the balcony instead of indoors.

For a potted Orange Jessamine, do not use too large a pot. The potting soil is best a sandy soil rich in humus, loose and fertile. A newly planted Orange Jessamine should be watered thoroughly, then placed in a shaded spot for about 10 days before being moved to a sunny, well-ventilated place for growing.

Orange Jessamine likes warmth and is especially fond of sunlight. When kept at home, it should be placed on a sunny, well-ventilated balcony. With enough sunlight, the leaves are lush and the flowers abundant, and the fragrance is strong; with insufficient sunlight, it blooms less and the fragrance is faint.

As just mentioned, Orange Jessamine is very easy to grow, mainly because it is very drought-tolerant. Although it won't die without water for a month, you shouldn't really water it only once a month every time. Normally, still follow the principle of "water when dry, stop when wet." It's fine if the soil is a bit dry, but be sure to water only after it has dried out completely.

In summer when temperatures are high, water more frequently, watering according to how dry the potting soil is. Also regularly spray and wash the branches and leaves with clean water and sprinkle water on the ground where it sits to raise the air humidity.

One thing to note is that Orange Jessamine is not cold-tolerant. Its most suitable growing temperature is 20-32°C. Especially now as autumn arrives and temperatures gradually drop, once the temperature falls below 10°C, it should be moved back indoors for care.
