In the blink of an eye, the hot summer is about to pass, and it's time for the good season of growing flowers again. After half a year of growth, your plants are due for repotting too! Today, follow Huahua to learn how to repot your plants!

Repot a pothos and watch it shoot up fast!

Lately, many friends have asked Huahua: why isn't my pothos growing? Your pothos hasn't been repotted since you brought it home, so of course it won't grow!

Specific repotting steps:

1. Grip the base of the pothos stems with your hand, turn the pot upside down, and gently tap the rim and bottom of the pot to take the pothos out.

2. If the pothos is too dense and the roots are tangled into a ball, separate the pothos along the stems first, then trim the roots with scissors, cutting off the rotten and old roots.

3. After trimming the pothos, to avoid root rot after repotting, it's best to soak it in a carbendazim solution for 30 minutes, then take it out and let it dry in a ventilated place.

4. For the soil to replant the pothos, you can mix leaf mold, pine needles, and perlite. This kind of soil is both airy and rich in nutrients, and can meet the pothos's growth needs.

5. After potting, water thoroughly, and place the pothos in a cool, ventilated place for about 1 week, then gradually move it to a spot with good light for care.

Repot a money tree and no root rot for 10 years!

Huahua has a 3-year-old money tree at home. These past few days its leaves have turned yellow and it looks listless. When I pulled it out, it turned out the roots had rotted!

Specific repotting steps:

1. When taking the money tree out of its pot, first hold the base of the trunk and shake it gently. Once the soil loosens, tip the pot on its side and pull the money tree out.

2. In summer, if watering is improper or the potting soil isn't airy, the money tree's roots are very prone to black rot.

3. Prepare a sharp knife. After disinfecting it, scrape away the rotten parts of the money tree's roots, then soak them in a potassium permanganate solution for about 30 minutes, or apply some carbendazim powder to the cuts.

4. Black rot on a money tree means the previous soil already contained bacteria. If you reuse it, you can put it in the microwave for a few minutes, or switch to new soil.

5. After repotting, don't water at first. Keep it in a cool, ventilated place for care, and water thoroughly 3 days later.

Repot a clivia and flower buds keep sprouting nonstop!

As the leaves increase and the roots grow, a clivia must be repotted at a certain stage. Otherwise, it's like an adult who keeps wearing a child's clothes - it's bound to be uncomfortable!

Specific repotting steps:

1. Before repotting a clivia, stop watering for about 10 days (depending on pot size). This way, repotting won't cause too much damage to the roots, and it will recover fairly quickly afterward.

2. After taking the clivia out of its pot, clear away the soil on the roots, then cut off the rotten roots and the useless hollow roots.

3. Place a few broken tile pieces over the drainage hole of the pot, so that later watering won't be blocked by the potting soil. The new nutrient soil should be mainly leaf mold and pine needles. To increase air and water permeability, you can add a small amount of coarse sand and charcoal residue.

4. When potting, first spread a layer of nutrient soil on the bottom of the pot, then turn the clivia upside down and fill the middle of the funnel-shaped roots with nutrient soil, then hold the roots with your hand and put it into the pot. This ensures the potting soil is as even as possible and doesn't damage the roots.

5. Hold the roots with one hand and fill in soil with the other. While filling, you can mix a few granules of compound fertilizer into the soil. After filling, press firmly around the edge of the pot; don't press too hard near the root crown, then water thoroughly.
