Entering the 21st century, with China's rapid economic development, I think everyone can feel it too: the improvement of our material life, the advancement of science and technology, the growth of high-tech industries, and even many areas ranking first in the world. Many people from abroad also come to China for further study. Even so, the Chinese people have not stopped moving forward; every industry continues to strive and struggle on the front lines of development and innovation.

China has a vast territory, but there are also many idle places where no one lives. If people do not live there, animals certainly will not go there to live either. Speaking of this, everyone may already know that what I want to talk about today is a desert in northern China.

Since the 1960s, our country has attached importance to turning deserts into oases of life. To put it plainly, this means artificially planting trees and forests in deserts to increase vegetation coverage. China turning deserts into oases is, in the eyes of foreign media, an impossible task.

How could a vast, boundless desert that stretches beyond the eye become an oasis? But what is worth mentioning is that we Chinese really turned this impossible task into reality! It shows the ambition and determination of the Chinese people in desert control. Under the original aspiration and arduous struggle of our country's desert control workers, those stretches of desert were eventually planted by them with flowers, grass, trees and green vegetation, becoming an oasis on the Bashang plateau. When the United States heard the news that China's desert had become an oasis, the United States expressed great shock! The United States kept saying impossible, impossible... but China really did it! This time China's desert control achievement is a miracle in the world! Many foreigners have given China a thumbs-up.

This oasis is the Mu Us Desert, one of China's four major deserts, located between Yulin and Ordos, with a total area of 42,200 sq km. The desert area is relatively large. It used to be a pastoral area, but later, due to unreasonable reclamation, overgrazing and climate change, the ground vegetation gradually decreased and degraded, and it became a desert. However, under Chinese leadership and after desert control workers built windbreak forest belts, diverted water to flush sand, and transformed the desert through decades of arduous struggle, spending a large amount of funds, more than 6 million mu of shifting sand in the Mu Us Desert has become an oasis on the Bashang plateau. It is very beautiful.

In China, deserts can also become oases. This is the result of decades of China's desert control struggle. The United States was very shocked at the time: it only said it was impossible. Even the French, after seeing China's desert control achievements, greatly admired them: "China is really amazing! A desert has become an oasis. We hope to go to China to learn from its desert control experience, and we also hope China will get better and better!"

Since the Mu Us Desert became an oasis, it has attracted many Chinese and foreign tourists to visit, directly promoting the local economic development and significantly improving people's lives. I believe that in the near future, this oasis will develop better and better. As for this oasis, what do you think?
