Sprinkle a little of this in the pot and your kalanchoe can bloom 12 months a year, bursting with flowers every month

Kalanchoe is arguably one of the easiest flowering plants to grow. It is drought-tolerant and blooms freely; with proper care, it basically blooms every month. But some flower lovers say that their kalanchoe, apart from being in bloom when they first bought it, basically never bloomed again afterward. What is going on?
To grow kalanchoe well, besides proper watering, sufficient light and suitable pruning, nutrients are also very important. If you want it to bloom abundantly, supplementing with phosphorus fertilizer is crucial. Many flower lovers keep their kalanchoe at home and probably never fertilize it even once a year. You should know that kalanchoe blooms so frequently; without fertilizer, where would it get the strength to bloom?
Today, Qiu Ma will share with you how to supplement kalanchoe with phosphorus fertilizer so it blooms nonstop every month.
1. The easy version: keep some potassium dihydrogen phosphate at home
After the first wave of kalanchoe flowers finishes, prune off the spent flowers, dilute potassium dihydrogen phosphate with water at 1000 times, and spray it directly on the kalanchoe leaves. Use it 2-3 times a month to make the kalanchoe quickly form buds, and the flowers it produces will be more numerous and larger.
2. The free version: do not waste fishy water
That is right, the smelly fishy water left after washing fish is also rich in phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. Dilute it with clean water at 50 times and then use it to water the kalanchoe; once a week is enough, and it can likewise quickly promote flower buds to appear. Of course, I personally prefer to ferment fish innards first, then dilute with water to water the flowers, and the effect will be even better.
After all the above points are done, if your kalanchoe still refuses to bloom, then we should try giving it short-day treatment. It is very simple: just cover the kalanchoe with a black plastic bag every day from after 6 o'clock to 8 in the morning. Remember to leave a few breathing holes, and after about 1 month you will see flower buds appear.
