The Complete Guide to Home Gardening

Autumn is here, and the temperature difference between day and night is starting to grow. Many flower lovers don't know what to do when the seasons change, or what not to do. Today let's talk about that little thing called growing flowers in autumn.
The "Three Don'ts" of Growing Flowers in Autumn
NO.1 Don't Water Recklessly
After the Start of Autumn, the weather turns cooler, and the water from the tap is no longer as warm as it was in summer. Many flowers are also slowly waking up from their dormant period (such as kalanchoe, succulents, cyclamen, etc.). If you water them directly with cold water, they can easily be shocked and die. So it's best to let the water sit for 2 hours after drawing it.
In addition, for those who water their flowers with rice water, milk water, or fruit peel water, be sure to remember to ferment it thoroughly before diluting it with water and watering.
NO.2 Don't Repot Recklessly
Although autumn is a good time to repot, the temperature isn't suitable yet. It's best to wait until the temperature drops to around 25°C, when the risk of repotting is lower! When repotting, keep as much soil around the plant roots as possible and try to avoid bare roots; this is because transplanting with soil is easier to keep alive than transplanting with bare roots.
NO.3 Don't Force Them into the Sun
After the Start of Autumn, it's cool in the morning and evening, but it's still very sunny at noon and in the afternoon. Flower lovers can move their plants out in the morning and evening to get some light, then move them back in when the sunlight becomes strong. Don't expose them to harsh sun, but don't keep them out of the sun either. Don't forget to spray water around the flowers in the morning to raise the humidity of the surrounding air, so the flowers won't dry out and become dehydrated.
