For more than a year now, I have developed a habit: buying succulents, potting them, taking photos. Recording both the beautiful and the ugly ones, time flies like a white horse passing a crack.
I once wasted a period of time, empty, bored, and even blamed fate and others, until one day something not so good happened before me, and everything changed.
Countless times I heard my own voice in my heart: You should grow up, become a true adult, some things need you to carry, to share.
From then on, the "not boring" days began, because there was no more time to be bored; instead, I was pressed so hard I could barely breathe, and the sky was gray and hazy.
I do not remember what kind of chance coincidence it was, but I got a few small succulents, and from then on the story began. Everyone says that people like succulents because succulents can heal the wounds in people's hearts. Probably at that time I did not understand it yet, but I was already wandering within this process.
One day I knocked off a leaf, and the knocked-off leaf silently put out roots and sprouted with all its strength, and unexpectedly grew new little flowers and new roots. I sighed inwardly: What strong vitality this is! Having gone through pain, yet not giving up on itself. As a human being, am I as strong as a succulent?
Putting away the bad emotions, I began to roam freely in the world of succulents, repeatedly collecting all kinds and gathering all sorts. The happiest thing for a succulent grower is nothing other than staying with one's succulents, never feeling bored; that is a kind of happiness outsiders cannot feel.
I had never tried an interest or hobby that could last two years, but now I finally understand that it was only because at that time I had not yet met the right one. Mm, so that is how it is.
Gradually, I was no longer confused, and my goals gradually became clear: work well, live slowly, work hard at work, and leisurely look at succulents after work. Recreational activities also slowly changed from the original singing, eating, and gatherings to visiting greenhouses and strolling through flower markets, from complexity to simplicity.
Finally I slowly came to know what calm and detachment are, no longer restless; in the end, everything will have a result, so enjoy the fate of the present.
I understood that people's sense of security and satisfaction can never be given or satisfied by external material things, so I stopped comparing myself with others. The process is somewhat difficult, but once you make up your mind, you only need to leave everything to time.
Falling into a pit and getting to know a group of people is the greatest gain. Everyone never stints on their own experience, so that I, a beginner, am no longer blind and have rules to follow. Gradually I also figured out some experience. Even though some casualties are still unavoidable, I have also healed some beloved treasures, and my sense of achievement is even greater.
I said, I want a yard, because growing succulents this way is too inconvenient (bay window), so my husband began making all kinds of plans to go back to our hometown to build a house. After much effort, now everything is ready, and only the start remains. I am once again, once again, once again one step closer to the goal I firmly hold in my heart. Thanks, husband!
That is all. Thanks to the big friends and little friends who have helped me. Life is like a dream, how much joy can there be. May everyone cherish the fate of the present, cherish the people before them, and enjoy the beautiful time they have now. Good night!
