Don't throw away empty oil drums - use them to grow flowers and vegetables, grow more and save space

Everyone likes to look for shortcuts when doing things, so that they can improve efficiency and get things done as well as expected. Of course, there are shortcuts in growing flowers too, like using rooting water to help cuttings take root, using rice water to water flowers to promote vigorous growth - these are all little tricks you can use when growing flowers, but today Huahua wants to recommend another treasure to everyone, and that is the empty oil drum!
Oil is something we must have for cooking every day, but when the oil is used up, we don't know what to do with the empty oil drum left over. Throwing it away feels a bit wasteful, but saving them up to sell takes up space and isn't worth much money. Huahua will teach you a way to deal with it - using it to grow flowers and vegetables really works well, so from now on never throw away empty oil drums!
For growing flowers
Many times we want to take cuttings of some plants at home, but then find we don't have enough flower pots, and this is when the empty oil drum comes in handy. First we cut the empty oil drum in half horizontally with scissors, and the remaining half can be used as a flower pot for growing flowers. Fill the inside of the empty oil drum with soil, then you can stick cuttings of foliage plants like pothos and spider plant into it. This way you can not only grow more, but the plants also have a larger living space and will grow more vigorously.
For growing vegetables
We can treat the oil drum the same way as above and then sow vegetables, and we can also drill a few small holes in the oil drum to grow onions and garlic. Onions and garlic are indispensable seasonings in our daily life, and with the help of an empty oil drum, planting and harvesting are no longer a problem!
We use a knife to drill more small holes on the surface of the empty oil drum, the more the better. The next step is to fill the entire oil drum with the planting soil we prepared, then put a garlic clove in each small hole, burying them deep in the soil, and finally water and fertilize regularly from the mouth of the bottle. This way a drum of garlic columns is ready. Generally, the 5-liter oil drum we commonly use can grow one jin of garlic, and when the harvest season comes, you won't have to worry about having garlic sprouts to eat!
The method for growing onions is about the same. We need to layer the onions and soil one layer at a time into the oil drum. Generally, one layer can hold a dozen or so onions, and a drum like this can grow about 80 in total. Just think, if we usually grow onions, we simply can't manage without several flower pots, but now one empty oil drum solves it all - it really is super convenient!
Actually, empty oil drums can be used not only for growing flowers and vegetables. Sometimes when we make the thin fertilizer water needed for growing flowers, we can also use them as sealed containers to ferment it inside. Now everyone knows the benefits of empty oil drums, right? From now on, never throw them away - keeping them really brings so many benefits!
