Hardwood cuttings: Cut a well-growing branch from the mother plant, ideally 15-20cm long, with 2-3 buds on each segment. Coat it with rooting powder, then insert 2/3 of it into the soil. Do not expose it to direct strong sunlight; keeping it slightly moist is enough. Softwood cuttings: Cut well-growing soft shoots, keep 1-2 leaves, prepare the cutting medium, and finally insert them into the medium.

I. Hardwood cuttings

Select one-year-old cuttings in good growing condition, trim them to about 15-20cm, make a slanted cut at the base, and make sure each segment has 2-3 buds. Before planting, soak or coat them with rooting powder or carbendazim, then insert them into the soil to a depth of 2/3, and provide shade measures; do not expose them to direct sunlight, just spray water frequently.

II. Softwood cuttings

Choose soft shoots of the current year, leave 1-2 leaves, and take cuttings from June to September. The medium can be river sand or perlite, kept in a moist state, which can increase the survival rate. Insert the treated branches into the medium; likewise, they must not be exposed to direct strong sunlight.
