I remember when WeChat first came out, I was still stubbornly using QQ. Later, QQ degenerated into a tool for transferring files at work, and even later, everyone used WeChat to transfer files.

It has been 12 years since graduation, and just thinking about it is scary. I still remember how excited I was when I first opened my QQ Zone in 2006. Every day at work, I had to complete these few things before starting: 1 check my horoscope; 2 open QQ Zone to read messages, then post a few bland thoughts; 3 pour a cup of water.

After that, I would get into work mode fairly quickly, because at the time there were no subscription accounts to follow, no Moments to scroll through, and no various APP push notifications to read.

Going downstairs to see the dog, shopping with close female colleagues, and eating and singing with two or three good friends were the greatest entertainment. I did not understand what pressure was. Anyway, I had plenty of time, and I always felt I was very mature.

I did not understand what love was. As long as a boy was good to me, I felt I should repay him double. How ridiculous. Now I think I can handle things calmly and composedly, but unfortunately, apart from my husband, no one else is willing to look at this old wrinkled face of mine anymore (I guess my husband is enduring it too).

In all these years in Beijing, I have calculated that I have not made a single close friend. Here, making friends with even a tiny bit of guard and not a trace of worry will obviously leave you at a disadvantage. It is hard to explain, but you just cannot make friends. Then so be it if you cannot. Blame it on my low emotional intelligence, and blame it on me being too picky. Get lost, all of you.

I have been at my current job for quite a while. It has never been what I like, but I do not have the qualification or capital to give it up. A while ago, I met a super amazing young woman who is busy every day pursuing the things she likes, giving up the life ordinary people are supposed to have. She is capable and bold, very free and easy. Comparing myself with her, what she has, I truly do not have, but what I have, she does not have either. Ordinary people should just settle down and do ordinary things well.

A lifetime is very short, and some things do not need too much agonizing. When I grow old, if my spouse is still healthy, my children have not committed crimes, I have a yard to grow succulents, and two or three old friends, that is enough.

Thank you for reading this article. I have rambled on so much, so let me get back to the point. Everyone has probably read a lot about succulent care knowledge. My succulent-growing skills are not very impressive, and I do not have much experience to pass on to everyone. I will just talk about a little bit of experience under my care environment.

My environment is an indoor enclosed balcony. For beginners in an indoor environment, this is how I grow them (for reference only): 80% grit. In spring, autumn, and winter, I use the soaking method to soak them thoroughly, and when the leaves wrinkle, I endure for a few days before soaking again. In summer, I do not have much good experience, because I have only been through two summers. In the first summer they stretched, and in the second summer I only soaked once plus used a fan (semi-soaking).
