Throw a piece of ginger into a flower pot, and in time your balcony becomes a vegetable garden, so you don't need to buy any

Ginger and garlic bought for just over ten yuan sprout easily if not stored well, and it feels like a waste to just throw them away. Do this, and you won't need to buy vegetables for a whole year!
1
Scallions
When buying scallions, choose ones with complete, undamaged roots, and do not wash off the soil when planting them.
At this point you can cut off the root end and put it in water to let it grow.
When the roots reach 5 cm, transplant them into a flower pot, firm the soil around the roots, water thoroughly, and place in a spot with plenty of light.
After one week, you can see new shoots growing. When you normally want to eat them, just pinch off the leaves.
2
Cabbage
Do not throw away the root end of cabbage after cutting it off. Put it in water (the water should cover the roots), remember to change the water every day, and place it on a windowsill to ensure light, letting it grow roots 5 cm long.
Then transplant it into soil and water thoroughly. It can likewise grow new leaves, and you can pinch off as much as you like when eating.
3
Celery
After cutting celery into pieces, keep the root end and put it in water (the water should cover the roots).
Change the water every day and ensure plenty of sunlight. After about one week, the celery roots will grow tender shoots.
Then transplant into soil. As the plant grows more lush, you can pinch off the leaves for a cold salad, or cut off the celery stalks and stir-fry them.
4
Ginger
Take ordinary leftover ginger pieces from cutting, or ginger that has already sprouted.
Bury the ginger pieces shallowly in the soil, water thoroughly, and place in a spot with plenty of sunlight.
After two weeks, you can see the tender shoots that have grown.
When the soil dries out, water it once, and water thoroughly.
Normally you can prune the leaves appropriately and keep it as an ornamental plant. When it withers in autumn and winter, you can dig up the ginger to eat~
5
Garlic
Collect the sprouted garlic at home, then prepare a flower pot or plastic bottle and you can plant it.
Whether you peel the skin off the garlic cloves or not is fine. After filling the flower pot with soil, you can insert the sprouted garlic cloves and water thoroughly.
Water frequently and loosen the soil often. After some time, garlic shoots will grow. The small garlic shoots can be cut off and eaten as a vegetable.
If you do not cut them, once the garlic shoots grow more lush, they will produce garlic scapes, which can be used in cooking.
Over time, when the whole garlic plant enters its withering period, as the leaves turn yellow and fall, you can pull up the garlic shoots, and then you can see that the original small garlic cloves have grown white and plump~
6
Pineapple
When choosing a pineapple, be sure to pick one with firm, emerald green leaves, and do not let the shop peel it or remove the crown.
At home, cut off the top of the pineapple, remove the surrounding leaves, keep the crown, and preserve the black dots below (this is the key to growing new roots).
Put it in water, making sure the water covers the roots, ensure sufficient moisture, and avoid direct sunlight.
After fibrous roots grow in the water, you can transplant it into soil. The soil should be slightly moist; avoid frequent watering and fertilizing (water once a week).
After 7-8 weeks, thick strong roots will grow.
With proper care, growing a small pineapple is not difficult~
