Many gardening enthusiasts like to put some flowers in their bedroom at home, but be careful: none of the following flowers should be placed in the bedroom.

Lilac

Many people know that lilac flowers are very fragrant, but do not put lilac in the bedroom, because at night it carries out respiration, absorbing oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide. The bedroom space is limited, so lilac will compete with people for oxygen, and its floral scent is also very strong, which will affect people's sleep quality.

Ragweed

Ragweed pollen contains allergens. If it is placed in the bedroom, people with relatively weak immunity who inhale this allergen will experience allergic reactions.

Night-blooming jasmine (Cestrum nocturnum)

At night, night-blooming jasmine releases very tiny particles, and these particles can irritate people's sense of smell. If patients with high blood pressure and heart disease smell this, they may experience symptoms such as dizziness and chest tightness, and in severe cases it may even worsen their condition.

Orchid

The fragrance given off by orchids can cause people to become overly excited, leading to insomnia, so do not put orchids in the bedroom.

Redbud (Bauhinia)

If the pollen released by redbud is exposed to the human body for a long time, asthma can be triggered in the body, or coughing symptoms can also worsen.

Pine and cypress

Although most people will not grow pine and cypress at home, it still needs to be mentioned: the fragrance released by pine and cypress plants can affect people's appetite. If a pregnant woman smells it, she may experience dizziness, vomiting, irritability, and similar symptoms.

If you have any of the above plants in your bedroom, be sure to move them out and improve indoor ventilation.
