Plant a bunch of cilantro roots in a pot, and you'll have more cilantro than you can eat!

1. After buying cilantro, peel off the larger outer leaves to use for stir-frying and seasoning. The remaining leaf core and root stalk can be used for planting.

2. Prepare a slightly larger flower pot, or simply prepare a foam box so you can plant more. After all, we can't say for sure when vegetable prices will drop... Ordinary garden soil is fine for growing cilantro.

3. Use a chopstick or a thin wooden stick to poke holes in the potting soil first, then place the cilantro roots into the holes and press down gently.

4. If you're planting a lot, it's best to leave 3-5cm of space between the cilantro plants so they grow more vigorously later on.

5. After planting, water thoroughly and keep them in a cool, ventilated place for 3-5 days, then move them to a spot with good light for normal care.

6. Before long, you'll harvest a full, generous pot of cilantro!

Plant a bunch of celery roots, and you won't worry about having no vegetables to eat all winter!

1. Celery can also be grown from roots. Celery has quite a lot of leaves, so if peeling them one by one feels too troublesome, you can just cut the root off in one go, keeping 3-5cm of the leaf stalk.

2. Bury the celery root in the soil, but don't bury it completely; it's enough if the top of the celery is slightly exposed above the soil surface.

3. After planting, place it in a bright, well-ventilated spot and water about once every 3 days. After 10 days, you'll find that the celery has sprouted tender little shoots!

4. After the little shoots appear, you can place the celery in a spot with plenty of light for care. In about a month, the celery will be ready to eat!

5. When eating, don't pull it up by the roots. Pinch the leaves off from the bottom of the leaf stalk, leaving the central leaf core. This way, the celery will keep growing nonstop, and you won't worry about having no vegetables to eat all winter!

Scatter a handful of seeds in a pot, and you'll never have to buy carrots again!

1. Now is a good time to plant carrots. Scatter a handful of seeds and you can harvest a full pot of carrots. It's best to use a deeper pot for growing carrots; if you have the conditions, you can plant them directly in a foam box.

2. Before sowing, water the potting soil thoroughly, then scatter the seeds evenly over the soil, and finally cover with a thin layer of soil.

3. After planting, you can cover the surface of the pot with a layer of transparent film to retain moisture. During the seedling emergence period, there's no need to water heavily; just keep the potting soil moist.

4. In about 10 days, the carrots will sprout. At this point, you can remove the film and continue caring for them. In about 20 days, the carrots will grow true leaves.

5. When the carrots have grown 7-8 true leaves, start fertilizing, applying diluted cake fertilizer water about once every 20 days.

6. After about 3 more months, the plump, chubby carrots will be ready to harvest!
