More and more people like to grow some flowers and plants at home. But many beginners complain that their plants never thrive, which is really frustrating. Never mind, below we introduce several tropical plants that are especially suitable for growing indoors, and they are super easy to care for. Let's take a look!

Monstera (Swiss cheese plant)

Monstera deliciosa (Swiss cheese plant) is suited to warm, humid environments; it does not like direct strong light and is fairly shade-tolerant, but in winter it needs plenty of light. It is not cold-hardy, and its winter overwintering temperature must not drop below 5°C. Monstera deliciosa is a large potted plant with leaves that stay green all year round and have irregular splits. Growing it in the living room adds plenty of tropical flair.

ZZ plant (money tree)

The ZZ plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) is suited to high temperatures and slightly humid environments; it does not like direct strong light, tolerates partial shade, and is fairly drought-tolerant, so it can go a long time without watering. It is not cold-hardy, and its winter overwintering temperature must not be 5°C, otherwise it easily suffers frost damage. The ZZ plant's leaves stay green all year round and grow in rows, just like strings of ancient copper coins, effectively beautifying the environment, and it is deeply loved by everyone.

Umbrella tree (Schefflera)

The umbrella tree (Schefflera) is relatively easy to care for and is suited to warm, humid environments. When the air is dry, you can appropriately mist some water around it. It is not cold-hardy, so winter frost protection measures must be taken, and when caring for it, it is best to place it in a brighter spot. The umbrella tree has a fairly compact shape, with emerald-green, glossy leaves. Growing it at home gives a fresh, natural feeling.

Philodendron bipinnatifidum (tree philodendron)

Philodendron bipinnatifidum (tree philodendron) is highly adaptable and suited to hot, humid environments. You can often mist the leaves with some water to increase air humidity. It has low light requirements, so just a bit of scattered light is enough. It is not cold-hardy, so winter frost protection measures must be taken. Philodendron bipinnatifidum has a fairly tall shape, with leaves that stay green all year round and have feather-like splits, giving it high ornamental value.
