Some people lose it, some people turn it into a beautiful scroll and bury it deep in their hearts, and some people make it real, living the life we yearn for, watching flowers bloom and fall, accompanied by morning bells and evening drums!
What "Reading Nature" presents is the real green life and daily garden life of the people around us, listening to their conversations with nature, and experiencing the extraordinary warmth and joy they have gained.

"One Flower, One World" was officially published in 2018, and the book tells the stories of 100 "garden families."
From students and office workers to elderly people in their seventies living at home, the protagonists of these 100 garden families are both green energy among the people and ordinary yet inwardly fulfilled individuals. The book records their flower-growing journeys one by one, allowing the green sentiments of this group of flower growers to be expressed and displayed.

Preface: A Thousand Grasses, A Thousand Mercies
The outside world probably does not know that for the writing profession, writing a preface for someone is the most difficult task of all.
Why is it difficult? The difficulty lies in the fact that you first have to understand it. To understand it, you first have to experience it. Even after experiencing it and coming to know it, you may still not be able to grasp its essence. And understanding the essence is not enough; if you put pen to paper superficially and merely repeat what others say, it is hard to produce anything brilliant, and you let down both the person who asked you to write the preface and the book for which you are writing it. If that day, it had not been the title of this book, "One Flower, One World," which stirred my heart the moment I saw it, this preface would have been very difficult to produce.
I went back and leafed through this book, and saw that every page had flowers and grasses, every page gave off the fragrance of plants, and every page clearly revealed the devoted love of the people who grow flowers and plants. Truly, the first flip brought surprise, the second brought emotion, and the third brought considerable resonance.
Before this, I really did not know that in this city there had always been a group of families who love growing flowers and plants, nurturing, cultivating, and protecting streams of green energy, letting it emerge from every corner of the great city of Wuhan, greening, beautifying, coloring, and perfuming our lives - truly a boundless merit! And the Wuhan Municipal Greening Committee Office has been visiting hundreds of flower-growing and plant-growing families in recent years, discovering the green energy of thousands of households, which is also truly commendable!
Speaking of it, whether it is a city or a person, all are life. In the final analysis, if life wants prosperity and vitality, its ecological context is so important that no amount of valuation would be excessive. The ecological context I refer to is essentially plants; everything else is passing clouds. Flowers and grasses absolutely must not be underestimated: before the rise of humankind, plants had long covered the wilderness, otherwise humankind could not have survived at all, simply because the five grains and fruits are all plants, livestock and animal husbandry all depend on plants, high-quality air also depends on plants, and even the world's oldest building, the pyramids, cannot be mentioned in the same breath as the vitality of a single dandelion.
People generally think that building cement is very solid, but in fact it begins to decompose after 30 years, and even the decomposition period of reinforced concrete cannot last more than a hundred years. But plants, and trees, and grasses, and flowers, can be free and at ease forever! That is why even Guanyin Bodhisattva always holds a willow branch in her hand. When a contemporary sage discussed the relationship between urban construction and large trees, one sentence of his deeply shook me: "You absolutely must not cut down large trees. No matter how many faults a large tree has, it still has fewer faults than people."
Moreover, every grass and every tree has feeling. As long as you cherish them, value them, and care for them, you will deeply feel their repayment: you will feel cheerful, you will be physically and mentally healthy, you will be refined in heart and spirit, and you will gradually discover that you are becoming a good person, a person who loves beauty and loves life. This is the unique mercy of vegetation.
With just these few limited observations, echoing the wise title of this book, this is written as the preface.
