More and more people love growing flowers, and many of them keep some plants and flowers at home to make the indoors cozier and more full of life. What's more, potted greenery can also purify the air, and the oxygen it releases is good for the health of family members.

But many flower lovers are no longer satisfied with just growing some plants and flowers at home, and instead keep trying to grow some green vegetables at home, such as greens, cilantro, lettuce, garlic sprouts, ginger and so on. Today I'll share with you how to grow ginger in a flower pot at home; in one year it can grow 20 times bigger, and some flower lovers can grow ginger so large and so spectacular that it looks like a "ginger mountain"!

Bury ginger in a pot, it sprouts in 10 days, grows 20 times bigger in 1 year, and gives you "a bucket of ginger mountain"

If you have ginger pieces at home that you can't finish eating, you can soak the ginger in an aspirin water solution for ten minutes. Because aspirin promotes plant rooting, soaking the ginger in the water solution speeds up rooting. Ginger has many small pointed bumps, which are the sprouting points where the ginger sprouts and roots. You can cut the soaked ginger into separate small pieces according to the sprouting points, so the ginger can root and sprout faster and can grow more ginger tubers.

Everyday care for ginger

After the cut ginger pieces are dried, choose a flower pot according to the size you want. Ginger likes to grow in fertile soil, so ordinary flower-growing soil can be used to grow it, but you need to put base fertilizer at the bottom of the pot; you can choose leaf mold or compound fertilizer, which can provide rich nutrients for the ginger's later growth. Generally, just bury the ginger 3 cm deep below the surface of the soil. Then put the pot indoors in a place with scattered light and good ventilation, and generally in about 10 days you will see tender ginger shoots emerge from the soil.

In the later care process, you can put the ginger outside to grow in the open air, because ginger likes a sunny, well-ventilated environment. During general care, as long as the soil is kept moist and there is enough light, the ginger can grow quickly and the tubers grow faster. After summer arrives, you can add fertilizer to the ginger pot. You can choose to boil soybeans at home and bury 4 to 5 beans around the edge of the pot once a month, which can supply the ginger with rich nitrogen fertilizer and speed up growth.

When autumn comes, it is also the ginger harvest season, and you can dig the ginger out of the flower pot and find that the tubers have grown very large, generally much larger than when the ginger was planted in spring. Of course, you can also choose to keep growing the ginger in the flower pot for many years before digging it out, in which case the tubers will grow older and bigger.

Of course, some flower lovers also grow ginger as a potted plant to play with, directly growing it in water in a flower pot, just like a rockery, very beautiful and spectacular!
