Don't plant nasturtiums in summer, or the leaves and flower buds may all wither and die before you know it

Every day I see everyone sharing their flower-growing experience and showing off their beautiful blooms in their friend circles, and Huahua is truly delighted that more and more people have fallen in love with growing flowers and with plants.
Although the environment, light, watering, and fertilizing are all things that have to be done right, there is one thing everyone should not forget: the sowing time.
Many people actually overlook this to some degree, but the sowing time is actually very important too. If the sowing time is wrong and the environment is not favorable for seed germination and growth, we have to take other measures, and before we know it things become much more troublesome. But if the sowing time is chosen correctly, then it is "the right time, the right place, and the right people" - with so many favorable conditions for growth, is there any fear the plant will not grow well? Not a chance.
I wonder if everyone knows about the flower nasturtium? Although it is called "nasturtium," it is actually very afraid of heat. As soon as the temperature rises, its leaves turn yellow and wither, and it may even kill the unopened flower buds with heat.
So when exactly is the right time to plant nasturtium? Today Huahua will tell everyone about it.
The fact that nasturtium is neither heat-tolerant nor cold-tolerant determines that the best time to plant it is in the two seasons of spring and autumn, and most nasturtiums are grown by sowing seeds. In early spring, once the temperature warms up again, you can actually sow the seeds. The temperature at this time is just right. If you still want to judge by specific temperature values, around 15°C is when you can sow.
The growth cycle of nasturtium in spring is relatively short; from sowing to blooming it takes only about two to three months. When growing it we can also see that nasturtium grows relatively fast, so spring is a suitable season for both sowing and growing nasturtium.
Autumn temperatures are also quite suitable for planting nasturtium. Generally speaking, you can choose to sow in mid-to-late October, and you can adjust this according to where you live~ Nasturtium sown in autumn has to get through a winter, so its growth cycle is relatively longer.
But sowing in autumn has one characteristic: generally speaking, nasturtium sown in October will bloom around November, but the quantity and quality of the flowers are quite ordinary. Only after storing up strength through a winter will it truly reach full bloom when it flowers the following spring. Nasturtium at this stage blooms abundantly, and the colors are vivid too.
In short, nasturtium can be planted in both spring and autumn, and each season has its own advantages. Everyone can reasonably adjust the sowing time of nasturtium according to their own schedule. And it must be said, nasturtium really does look beautiful when it blooms!
