"Dragon," legendary and mysterious, we Chinese people were once called "descendants of the dragon," so when it comes to "dragon," we only hold reverence. And in the distant Western world, there are also various legends about "dragons," but the images described seem completely different. Taking advantage of this beautiful planted tank and its unique design, let us also take a look at what "dragons" in Western mythology look like...

Tank Setup and Construction

First is the design of the "dragon" image. Make a mold the same length as the tank, place three rocks in sequence, and fix them underneath with glue. (The first rock's position is the empty space reserved for planting grass, the second rock is the placement position for the "dragon," and the third rock is the position for the dragon's tail.) Bend wire into the shape of a dragon's body and fix it onto the second rock.

Detail photos

Wrap the wire with platinum foil and fishing line

Make the model with plaster (this is a skilled job)

The dragon's belly is left hollow, because the back still needs work done on it, so just fill it with something weighted.

Paint the model

Add a mountain rock to the back of the mold and glue it together with the mold (there must be no gaps). This is what the mold looks like in its final form.

Let the "dragon mold" dry, then place it in the tank. It looks incredibly lifelike

Look above the water, it is like a small island floating on the sea

And the underwater style is completely different

Beautiful photos of the finishedscape

There is still a surprise here
