Pothos is economical and eye-catching, and many friends love to keep a pot at home. Pothos care is also very simple; you just need to understand its preferences, and it will easily fill the pot with glossy green leaves. Today Xiao Ye tells everyone about the special preference of pothos: pothos loves "beans," and once it eats them, it grows like crazy.

Spoiled beans, spoiled but not disloyal, transform into top-quality nitrogen fertilizer

There are often some beans at home, such as red beans, soybeans, black beans, mung beans, etc., that are forgotten and go bad after time passes. What should you do? We can turn them into organic fertilizer, and once made, it is top-quality nitrogen fertilizer, while nitrogen also promotes the rooting and the growth of stems and leaves of pothos.

So how do you let pothos "eat" it? Three methods, "as you please"

Method one:

Soak the beans in water overnight, then put them in a pot, add boiling water, and cook until done. After cooking, dig a few holes in the pot, then put the cooked soybeans into the holes. Put at most three per pot, and keep them away from the root area. When the soybeans slowly rot, they can provide nutrients to the pothos.

Method two:

Same as above. After cooking, let them cool, crush them, put them into an empty bottle, add clean water. To prevent bad smell, also add some orange peel. Fill the container to 80% full, then cover it and put it in the sun to ferment.

Generally, 2-3 months of fermentation time is needed. During fermentation, leave a small gap in the lid to prevent the gas produced from bursting the container. After fermentation is complete, dilute and mix the fermented solution with clean water at a ratio of 1:10 and spray it on the soil.

Method three:

First, stir-fry the spoiled beans until half-cooked. This way, the nitrogen nutrients are not volatilized, and the moisture is removed and mold is killed. After stir-frying, let them cool, put them into a sealed jar, and place it in the refrigerated layer of the fridge. When the pothos needs fertilizing, take some from the fridge. It is very convenient, and it does not smell bad at all.

Of course, if you think making it yourself is too troublesome, you can also use microbial inoculant general-purpose flower fertilizer. It has no irritating odor, is safe and environmentally friendly, and once a week has the same effect.
