Rose is called the "queen of flowers" and is one of China's top ten famous flowers. It is an evergreen or semi-evergreen low shrub that blooms in all four seasons, with rich colors and a long flowering period, and is deeply loved by many flower lovers.

After early autumn, many roses begin to bud and bloom again, and they need plenty of nutrients. Once buds appear, bury a bit of this "flowering fertilizer" and the buds will be extra large, bursting and filling the pot!

Roses love fertilizer, and once they enter the flowering period they need plenty of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer as well as some other trace elements. The "flowering fertilizer" mentioned here is worm castings. Worm castings are called the "king of organic fertilizers," rich in nutrients that roses can absorb directly, promoting bud growth and flowering without harming the roots.

Specific method: you can collect some worm castings in a park, bring them home and sun-dry them for 3-5 days until completely dry, then crush them into powder for use. If you find that too troublesome, just buy some online.

Dig a few small holes a little away from the base of the rose, about 1/3 the depth of the flower pot. Put a small spoonful of worm casting powder into each hole, then cover with soil. Each time you water, the worm casting powder will mix into the soil and be absorbed by the roots.

Besides burying worm castings in the potting soil as a base fertilizer, you should also apply a medium-strength liquid fertilizer about every half month. You can use fermented fish intestine water, rice washing water, etc. This keeps the leaves thick, dark green and glossy, and makes the flowers bloom more vividly.

Roses love light. To make them grow better and bloom more, they need plenty of sunlight, no less than 6 hours a day, otherwise they will only grow taller without blooming. After early autumn the light intensity decreases, so you can move the roses to a sunny area to give them more light.

That's all for rose care. If you have anything to add, feel free to share it with everyone in the comments section below. If you want to learn more about growing flowers, you can follow Huajianke!
