Not long ago, my little sister made a friend online who loves flowers, and she can get me to go buy flowers with her twice a week. I asked her: why do you keep buying flowers, and why are they all things like pothos? She said the ones she bought before didn't survive her care. So she had to buy new ones.

Actually, we can propagate many plants ourselves at home. With just a casual snip of a branch, you can grow a whole big pot of plants, so why go out and spend money buying them? Having a lot of money doesn't mean spending it that way. If you have plenty of money, you could give it to my little sister, hahaha~

Enough joking around. Below, my little sister will introduce some plants that can survive even if you casually snap off a branch and leave it in a corner~

Moss rose

First, we snap off a branch of moss rose, then fill a flower pot with soil. Moss rose has basically no requirements for soil. Then smooth the potting soil, insert the cut moss rose branch into the potting soil, and finally water it a little. Just keep the potting soil moist at ordinary times, but it must not be too wet. Generally, it can take root in 10 to 15 days.

In ordinary care of moss rose, you should also pay attention at the end: apply potassium dihydrogen phosphate once every half month, and you can achieve the goal of large flowers, bright colors and continuous blooming. But do not apply too much.

Moss rose is a plant that blooms when it sees sunlight; it closes in the early morning, at night and on cloudy days. So while caring for it, you must also ensure there is enough light.

Pennywort

Pennywort is a plant that can survive with just a little water. Here, my little sister will tell everyone about the half-water, half-soil care method, which is better for the growth of pennywort.

First, put 1/3 soil or river sand in the pot, then add 2/3 clear water, and then you can put the pennywort with roots into the pot. After that, place the pennywort in a bright place and you're done!

Pennywort is a plant that is quite thirsty, so at ordinary times you must often check whether the water in the pennywort pot is enough. If the water is not enough, add it immediately. Once pennywort lacks water, it will wilt.

Also, make sure there is enough light and a good ventilation environment. If there is not enough light and ventilation is poor as well, pennywort will very easily develop yellow leaves. Occasionally adding a little nutrient solution is enough, so that it can grow large leaves and propagate quickly!

Heartleaf ice plant

Cut some branches of heartleaf ice plant, then insert the branches into the potting soil, and after that, water them. Then place the heartleaf ice plant in a shady place for care. At ordinary times, keep the soil slightly moist. After a few days, you can see the branches standing upright, which means the new branches have begun to root. Once the branches survive, they can be put in the sun.

During the growing season, apply cake fertilizer water about once every half month. In ordinary care, when watering, follow the principle of watering when dry and wet. Wait until the potting soil is dry, then water thoroughly. Too much water easily causes root rot. Also, make sure there is sufficient light, but in summer the light is relatively strong, so provide appropriate shade.

There are also many plants that can be propagated this way, such as ZZ plant, Radermachera sinica, ivy, spider plant, and string of pearls.
