Bougainvillea and Kalanchoe bloom without fertilizer, just sprinkle a little of this in the pot

Recently many gardening enthusiasts have been asking why their Kalanchoe and Bougainvillea never bloom. If there is no problem with light and watering, then you may just be lacking one thing - fertilizer. That's right, phosphorus fertilizer. Phosphorus fertilizer is the key to promoting flower buds. Come and see how Huahua does it!

Kalanchoe & fishy water, buds keep sprouting

The fishy water left after washing fish at home is rich in phosphorus and potassium. Dilute it with water 50 times and water the plants with it once a week, and flower buds will soon appear.

If you find it troublesome, or there is no fishy water at home, just spray some monopotassium phosphate on the leaves of Kalanchoe, diluted 1000 times with water, 2~3 times a month, and the effect is also very good.

Note: If Kalanchoe has never had flower buds, you can try short-day treatment. From 6 pm every day to 8 am the next morning, cover the Kalanchoe with a black plastic bag, poke a few holes for ventilation, and you will see flower buds in about 4 weeks.

Clivia & bone meal, strong roots, green leaves and many buds

Before Clivia blooms, apply more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. Bone meal is a high-quality phosphorus fertilizer. Every 7~10 days, evenly sprinkle a layer of bone meal on the surface of the pot, which can effectively promote blooming and strengthen roots.

Note: Apply thin fertilizer frequently, and during daily care, often turn the flower pot so that the light is even.

Bougainvillea & eggshell powder, buds bursting all over the branches

Eggshell powder is an excellent phosphorus fertilizer. Before planting, evenly mix the eggshell powder into the soil, and it can be absorbed and used each time you water, so the flowers will be more brightly colored.

Before blooming, every 15 days, spray some monopotassium phosphate diluted 1000 times or a compound fertilizer with higher phosphorus on the leaves, which can very well promote flower bud differentiation.

Christmas cactus & rice washing water, blooming so much the branches bend

Rice washing water is rich in trace elements such as phosphorus and nitrogen. During the flower bud differentiation period of Christmas cactus, use fully decomposed rice washing water, diluted 10 times, to water the roots, once every 10 days.

Note: After watering with rice washing water, there is no need to water again. Too much watering easily causes root rot and bud drop.

Chrysanthemum & bean cake fertilizer, large flowers and brilliant colors

Bean cake fertilizer is rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and can be used as a compound fertilizer. Before chrysanthemums bloom, thinly sprinkle fully decomposed bean cake fertilizer on the surface of the flower pot, turn the topsoil, and mix it in.

Note: 3~4 times a month is enough. Apply thin fertilizer frequently. After fertilizing for 6~8 hours, water thoroughly once to help absorption.

Osmanthus & pig manure, fragrance carried far and wide

As the saying goes, "If you want osmanthus fragrance, keep more pig manure jars." Osmanthus likes pig manure fertilizer. From the end of August to the first ten days of September, apply one thin application of decomposed pig manure liquid, just once, and no more fertilizer is needed until the flowering period ends.

If there is no pig manure fertilizer, bury a few granules of slow-release fertilizer at the edge of the pot soil, and the effect is equally good.
