Water the Christmas cactus with this kind of "garbage water" in early autumn, and its stems and leaves will be plump and emerald green, with flowers blooming all over the branches.

The Christmas cactus (Schlumbergera) is an epiphytic succulent plant, shrub-like, with drooping stems, many branches and no spines, bright green or slightly purple, with a truncated apex, and flowers borne singly at the tips of the branches, bright and beautiful, deeply loved by many flower lovers.
After early autumn, Christmas cacti begin to bud and bloom one after another and need more nutrients. Today, Hua'er will introduce to you how to give the Christmas cactus a drink of this kind of "garbage water", so its stems and leaves become plump and emerald green and flowers bloom all over the branches!
The "garbage water" mentioned here is fertilizer water made from fermented animal offal. For example, after chicken, duck and fish offal is fermented, it releases a large amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, and so on. After the roots of the Christmas cactus absorb it, it can promote the sprouting of new buds, make the stems thicker, produce more flower buds, and make the flowers bright.
Specific method: collect chicken, duck, fish and other offal, wash them clean, cut them into small pieces, then put them into a pressure cooker, add enough water and simmer for about one hour. Prepare a large plastic bottle, and after it cools, put it directly in, then add a small amount of orange peel and insecticide, which can speed up fermentation and remove the odor. After sealing, place it in a cool place.
During the fermentation process, gas will be continuously produced. About every 5 days, it needs to be aired out to prevent the bottle from bursting. After about one month, fermentation is complete and it can be used.
When using it, first filter it, then add water to dilute it 100 times, and then slowly pour it in from the edge of the Christmas cactus pot. Water it once every 7 days, so the Christmas cactus can absorb it better, promote flower bud differentiation and flower bud growth, and make it produce more and brighter flowers.
One more point: the Christmas cactus is relatively sensitive to the light cycle. Let it receive light for about 9 hours each day, and carry out dark treatment for the rest of the time. Use a black plastic bag, box or the like to keep it in a completely dark environment until it blooms, which is more helpful for it to differentiate more flower buds and produce more flowers.
