When it comes to repotting succulents, gardening enthusiasts frown, fearing that the plant will not survive after repotting. Is it really true that succulents "die after repotting"? As long as the method is used correctly, no matter how many times you repot them, they can grow into a bursting pot!

1. First loosen the soil in the original pot, then slowly take the succulent plant out. If the original potting soil is relatively hard and not easy to loosen, you can take out the entire pot of soil, then slowly loosen it and separate out the root system of the succulent plant. After taking the succulent out, rinse the roots under a faucet, but be careful that the water flow is not too strong, so as not to damage the succulent's roots. Then begin trimming the aerial roots. We use professional gardening shears, but if doing this at home, ordinary scissors are fine.

2. After the root system has been trimmed, the next step is to disinfect and sterilize the succulent's roots. We can soak them in sterilizing water. Place the succulent in a dry, cool place to dry naturally. Absolutely do not put it under direct sunlight to bake; it needs to air-dry naturally, and do not let the succulent become dehydrated too much.

3. We need some new soil, and it is also recommended to change to a slightly larger flower pot, which can give the succulent's roots more ample space to grow. Put a little soil at the bottom of the pot, place the succulent in the new pot, then slowly fill in the soil, and then place the repotted succulent in a ventilated place with little light for cultivation. It is not recommended to water within one week; wait until the succulent has adapted to the new soil environment before watering.

If you want to add peat soil, it is recommended that the amount not exceed 1/5. By imitating the succulent plant's native habitat for planting, you can both increase capacity and maintain a relatively high proportion of stone!

In addition, a freshly repotted succulent plant may also produce aerial roots. If this happens, it indicates that the succulent is relatively healthy!
