Succulents say I love you, a tiny potted plant delivers full love

Clutching dried leaves
Counting white clouds
How much longer is summer
Braving the sun, I repotted Grandma's cactus
Started to zone out, and my thoughts drifted into quicksand
Life is simple
Give it the slightest thing to lean on
And it climbs right up it
Life is also wonderful
On the pot, a swan pattern
In the pot, aquatic plants sway
The resilience of life
Turns into a tree within the grid
Interpreting the meaning of immortality
Life's greatest fortune
Is beneath the myriad rosy clouds
That familiar silhouette
Want to keep the scenery before my eyes
Yet cannot draw its likeness
Also want to claim all the beauty I see as my own
At least sketch out the rough traces
No matter how small the encounter
It will be a collision of two worlds
Worry, reassurance
The long summer days
Left behind only those two words
Afterword:
This summer took no small toll; this piece is for those flowers that have departed.
