Orchids can be considered outstanding among flowers, not only for their elegant flower colors and refined leaves, but also for their unique fragrance. However, the tricks to growing orchids run deep, and everything needs a bit of care. Would you believe it, orchids actually like drinking this kind of water.

Of course, when growing orchids, you can also skip the fuss, and they can still survive. But if you want a longer blooming period, glossy green leaves, strong roots, and fragrant flowers, that is, to reach the orchid condition we want, you have to play by the rules. Whatever water it likes to drink, give it that!

Actually, the water orchids drink is nothing fancy, and almost every household has it, especially in the scorching summer when every home runs an air conditioner, and the air conditioner has a pipe specifically for draining cold water, and this water can be collected in a bucket to water orchids. In fact, this condensate water is distilled water, and using this water to grow orchids is a very good choice, with no impurities at all. Compared with tap water, the benefits are far more than a few.

Of course, our orchids cannot just drink water, right? Drinking water can ensure basic growth, but you still need to add a little something to the water. First, you can add aspirin tablets. Do not underestimate this kind of tablet, because it contains salicylic acid, which promotes plant rooting. Its growth-promoting effect on orchids is very powerful, and it can also prevent root rot and yellow leaves, and promote rooting.

At the same time, you can also put a rusty iron nail into the condensate water. The rusty iron nail will release iron elements, making orchid leaves even more glossy green, preventing leaves from turning yellow, and also keeping the flower colors vivid.

Next, let us look at the specific way to use this water!

When the air conditioner is on, put the pipe back inside the house and place a bucket under the water outlet. After collecting this water, add 1 rusty iron nail and 1 aspirin tablet per 1000 ml. Cover it for about 3 days, and the tablet will dissolve, while the iron nail can also release more iron elements.

Then we use the clearer upper layer of the water solution to water the orchids. It is better to use it about once every 10 days. Generally, after about 1 month of use, you will see that the orchids are much greener than before, and their growth is also quite pleasing.

At the same time, to ensure enough nutrients for the plant, we also need to drip a few drops of organic nutrient solution into this distilled water, ensuring the supply of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and humic acid, which can promote the plant to grow rapidly, with a strong plant, glossy green leaves, vigorous flowering, large flower buds, and a relatively long blooming period.
