Kalanchoe autumn care tips: covered in flower buds by October

A while ago I posted a video about kalanchoe, and after watching it, many gardening friends asked how to fertilize kalanchoe?
Chengcheng tells you: from now on, kalanchoe has entered a period of fairly rapid growth, and if you want it to bloom all over the pot, fertilizing is absolutely key!
1.If what we are growing is a young kalanchoe seedling that has just rooted from a cutting, once it grows to three or four pairs of leaves, we need to pinch off the tips and top it, and then start giving it a compound fertilizer with a balanced ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. This way its branches and leaves will grow more vigorously, and it will also lay a good foundation for blooming more in the future!
2.If what we are growing is a large kalanchoe plant, it will begin to form flower buds at the end of October or the beginning of November, so first we shallowly bury some compound fertilizer with a balanced ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium at the bottom of the pot, and whenever it has completely dissolved, add another round!
In addition, every month we should give it a high-phosphorus fertilizer that promotes flower bud differentiation two to three times, such as monopotassium phosphate, mixed with water at a ratio of 1:1000, and once mixed, either drench the roots or spray the leaves, both are fine!
The method of fertilizing kalanchoe is just this simple, but if you want kalanchoe to bloom all over the pot, besides fertilizing, sufficient light is also an indispensable key factor! If at this stage you cannot guarantee it sufficient light, then no matter how much fertilizer we give it, it will not produce many flowers!
Once autumn comes, as long as we care for kalanchoe this way, by the end of October its flower buds will come popping out one after another!
