Every time I post photos on social media, someone always says:

How come you're already living a retired life so early?

It seems like growing flowers and vegetables is exclusively for the elderly.

But today, I want to say it loud:

I love growing flowers, and it has nothing to do with gender, age, or status!

Around me there's a 40-year-old middle-aged guy who loves growing flowers.

There's also a 16-year-old middle school student who's obsessed with growing flowers.

This is the small garden he created on his own rooftop.

There's a 60-year-old warehouse keeper who loves growing flowers.

There's a 50-year-old farmer uncle who loves growing flowers.

There's also an 18-year-old girl in the bloom of youth who loves growing flowers.

And even celebrities with countless fans grow flowers.

From the uncles and aunties born in the 1950s to the young hunks and fairies born in the 2000s,

from farmers, workers, and students to white-collar workers, teachers, and soldiers,

growing flowers has never had anything to do with gender, age, or status.

Flower growers can be found in every corner of the motherland.

Even if you point at a random person on the street,

they could be one of our flower-growing army.

It's just that they're used to keeping a low profile and focusing on growing flowers,

used to bowing their heads to plant vegetables and raising them to admire the flowers.

But you may not understand their happiness -

the tender buds that sprout on the branches after the rain,

the flower buds that gradually take on color in the sunlight,

the pink buds, ready to bloom and delicately beautiful...

Every tiny change excites the flower grower beyond measure.

The first thing they do when they get up is look at the flowers.

The last thing they do before bed is also look at the flowers.

Every bit of growth brings them full-hearted joy.

And every time they bloom, it's a tremendous happiness.

Although sometimes they don't grow well,

dropping leaves, wilting, turning yellow... these happen from time to time,

making the flower grower heartbroken and discouraged.

But this never extinguishes their love for life.

This is the flower grower!
