In early autumn, do this 1 extra step when caring for snake plants, and side shoots will sprout like crazy and grow over 1 meter

In recent years, growing flowers has become a fashion. Many people like to keep a few pots of flowers and plants at home to enrich their spare time and green their environment, and the snake plant (Sansevieria) is a very common indoor foliage plant deeply loved by flower growers. Its leaves grow in clusters and stand upright, are thick and leathery, and both sides have irregular dark green cloud-like horizontal stripes, which is why it is named after a tiger's tail.
After early autumn, the snake plant slowly resumes growth. During care, do this 1 extra step, and side shoots will sprout like crazy and grow over 1 meter tall. You can try it too!
To grow a snake plant well, you must first grow its roots well, and only when its root system is well developed will it grow quickly and continuously send up new shoots, making the plant fuller. To grow the roots well, besides the soil needing sufficient nutrients, you can bury some bone meal, decomposed soybean cake, etc. into the potting soil about every 2 months, and you also need to increase its activity.
The 1 extra step mentioned here is to increase activity. You can directly use willow branches, because they contain large amounts of salicylic acid, willow acid, etc., which are natural auxins that can promote the rapid growth of the snake plant's root system and also help with sprouting, making it grow like crazy.
Collect a few robust willow branches of the current year, remove the leaves, cut them into small segments, then put them under the sun to bake until completely dry, and finally use a hammer or other tool to crush them into willow residue.
You can dig some small holes near the edge around the flower pot, put some willow residue into each small hole, and you can put in a little more depending on the size of the pot, then cover it with a layer of thick soil. This will make the snake plant's root system more developed, keep sending up new shoots, and grow like crazy, reaching over 1 meter tall in 3 months!
That is all for snake plant care. If fellow flower growers have anything to add, you can share it with everyone in the comments section below. To learn more about flower-growing knowledge, you can follow Huajianke!
