Orchids are plain and unadorned, with evergreen leaves, soft yet firm leaf texture, and delicate, far-reaching fragrance. They have extremely high ornamental value and are treasures for displaying in the living room, bedroom, or accenting a study or entryway. So how can you grow orchids well? What should you do if many gardeners' orchids never grow? If old orchid leaves wither and new ones do not grow out, the orchid easily ends up with fewer and fewer leaves, and it doesn't look very good either. Today I'll share a little method with you: pour a little of this in the pot, and the orchid will grow strong roots and green leaves, with many strong little shoots.

The thing you need is willow branch liquid. Willow branches contain a substance that can promote plant root growth. After soaking in water, it seeps into the water, which can promote plant growth and also inhibit bacterial reproduction.

Collect some willow branches, not too thick ones; try to pick up ones that have fallen on the ground rather than breaking them off the tree. Cut the branches into small pieces, then place them in a sealable container, fill it with clean water, and then begin steeping. It can be fully steeped in about 20 days. After that, use this willow branch solution to water the orchids. It will not cause soil compaction, can make the orchid grow many more little shoots, and can also nourish the roots. Willow branches can also be placed at the bottom of the pot to make the soil loose and breathable, keep flowers and plants from root rot, and also inhibit bacteria and promote growth.

Daily care should also be taken seriously:

Usually place the orchid on a south-facing balcony or in a courtyard (do not put it on a north-facing balcony or keep it indoors for a long time). In spring and winter, let it get more sunlight. In summer and autumn, when people feel uncomfortable in the sun, do not let the orchid be directly exposed to the scorching sun. No need to fertilize.

For daily watering, water when the growing medium is dry. If you are not sure, you can dig two or three cm deep into the potting medium. If it is dry there, water immediately; if it is not dry yet, water again in a day or two. When watering, water the whole pot thoroughly and water for a while longer so that all the growing medium "drinks" the water.
