They say three women make a drama, so what happens when three women open a shop together and spend every day working side by side? This peony doesn't know about the rest, but one thing's for sure: their phones are full of each other's ugly photos.

Three besties who love and torment each other want to open a plant shop together? A "soft flower shop" or "glass greenhouse" really wouldn't suit them. Tough, spiky cacti, on the other hand, would be just perfect.

The girls from Copenhagen, Maja, Cille and Gro: Maja and Gro are sisters, and Cille is Maja's best friend from childhood. Their favorite plant is the cactus, and the plant shop they opened sells only cacti.

A few years ago, Maja and Cille studied floral art together, but they were not the least bit interested in soft flowers and plants. Instead, they were completely fascinated by spiky cacti. The balcony at Maja's home gradually became occupied by cacti, and influenced by Maja, Gro also fell in love with cacti.

The three girls hit it off instantly, and it took them only three months to open a cactus shop on a bustling street in Copenhagen: KaktusK?benhavn.

On the tables in the shop, cute succulents are growing.

Collecting all kinds of cute flower pots,

Is also one of the three girls' hobbies.

Don't be fooled by how fully packed the shop looks; in fact, when the girls first opened it three years ago, just like this peony, they couldn't even name the cactus varieties.

Not knowing all the varieties didn't matter. In their eyes, all cacti are natural works of art. Maja said, "At first, I liked cacti simply because I felt they had a strange kind of beauty. As I learned more about them, I discovered that cacti have a kind of positive, uplifting power."

Two girls came with a photo to look for an identical cactus,

The cactus their best friend had raised since childhood died two days ago,

They searched more than a dozen plant shops,

And finally bought a similar cactus here,

In the more than three years of running the cactus shop,Like the cacti, they learned to listen to this city's trivial worries, and also took part in the lives of more ordinary people. Local people also affectionately call these three girls the "Cactus Girls."。

Friendship between girls isn't only plastic sisterhood; there is also cactus sisterhood like that of Maja, Cille and Gro. During the time they ran the shop, Maja also had a baby. As soon as the child was born, she had two godmothers and a cactus botanical garden.

After giving birth, Maja would spend some time with her baby every day, but it did not disturb the rhythm of running the cactus shop at all. She still often appears in the shop, and is more diligent about repotting cacti than changing diapers.

In May this year, the girls made another important decision. They closed the current cactus shop and opened a larger plant shop, and their "cactus shop" also added more plant members.

The new shop is no longer in a cold, minimalist style,

Instead, they'll pull you into chatting for a while, as if they wish they could tell you all their three years of cactus care experience:

Light: Cacti love sunlight very much. Except in summer, when proper shading is needed, the rest of the time they should get plenty of sun.

Water: Based on room temperature, pot size, season and soil, observe how quickly the cactus dries out. There is no need to water every day. Use the method of watering thoroughly after the soil has dried out, once every one or two weeks is fine.

Soil: Cacti like porous soil. Ordinary soil can be mixed with 1:1 gravel (or coarse sand) to let the roots breathe more smoothly.

From a cold, minimalist cactus shop to now becoming a plant shop full of greenery and sunlight. The plants in the shop are changing, and their understanding of plants and life is changing too. The only thing that has not changed is their feelings for one another.
