The anthurium has gorgeous and unusual flowers, and is also known as flamingo flower and tailflower. Its leaves are emerald green and huge, its flowers are bright and beautiful, and its blooming period is very long. If you want your anthurium to bloom in vivid red, you need to master some techniques. Let's take a look below!

(1). Spray water regularly

Regularly spraying water on the leaves of the anthurium keeps them glossy, and at the same time cleans the leaves so they can carry out photosynthesis better; in a dry environment, it also helps maintain high humidity, especially during the high temperatures of summer. Overwatering can cause waterlogging, and spraying water can also help keep the soil moist while avoiding root rot.

(2). Pay attention to keeping it warm

The anthurium is not cold-tolerant, so when the temperature drops you need to move it indoors promptly for care, especially in autumn; watch the temperature, otherwise it will suffer frost damage. The temperature must not fall below 12°C, otherwise take good warming measures to prevent the plant from freezing to death.

(3). Repot in time

The anthurium grows fast, so the nutrients in the soil are easily used up, and you need to repot it according to the plant's condition to maintain fertile, loose soil so the plant can grow better. Otherwise, once the nutrients are depleted, or if the space is too small, the plant's growth will be affected and it will be very difficult for it to bloom.

(4). Provide extra light

In winter, it needs to be placed in a spot with sufficient light, and the plant should receive as much light as possible. Turn the pot regularly so the plant gets even light; in summer, avoid exposure to strong sun, as the leaves and flowers are easily scorched.
