Autumn watering must be timely: water well and the recovering seedlings grow vigorously; water poorly and the seedlings easily die

Plants grow vigorously in autumn. If there is no timely rain, you still need to water them in time! But how exactly should you water after autumn begins, especially for plants that were dormant in summer? This first watering is very important! Yatou will introduce to everyone how to water these plants in autumn!

1. Christmas cactus

The Christmas cactus gradually enters its growing period in autumn, so the amount of water given needs to be increased gradually, which makes the first watering especially important! Of course, it depends on the situation. If you used the water-control method in summer, the potting soil should be very dry, and you can water by the soaking method: place the bottom of the flowerpot into a basin filled with water and let the water slowly seep into the potting soil. This can reduce damage to the root system.

2. Orchid

Orchids relatively like moisture. As autumn turns cooler, generally water once a week. For the first watering, pay attention and proceed step by step, doing it in 3 rounds, each time watering until the water has fully soaked in, all the way until water flows out from the bottom.

3. Peace lily

Peace lilies and anthuriums are actually about the same. Just pay attention to one principle: water when dry, let dry between waterings. Before watering, check how dry or moist the potting soil is. If the surface of the potting soil is dry, you can water directly, as long as you make sure there is no standing water on the surface of the potting soil.

4. Aloe

After a whole summer, the aloe at home has probably been baked beyond recognition! Everyone has probably been like Yatou, barely tending it all summer, feeling like letting it fend for itself! When you want to water, just give it water directly! Still one principle: do not let the potting soil have standing water.

5. Snake plant

In Yatou's view, for a slow-growing plant like the snake plant, there is basically no distinct growing period or dormant period, so there is no obvious distinction in watering either. Water as usual in all four seasons, and just adjust the watering cycle appropriately according to changes in how dry the air is.
