It is said that in many places the price of cilantro is getting more and more expensive, but many people love eating cilantro, so what can be done? Actually, we can grow a few pots ourselves at home, and it is very simple. If you have a terrace, a large balcony or a rooftop platform at home, you can grow even more. But many gardening friends say that after planting cilantro, it sprouts slowly and only a few seeds sprout. How do you grow cilantro so it sprouts fast, emerges quickly and grows vigorously?

Growing cilantro at home, use one clever trick, and the seedlings come out fast, evenly and grow vigorously

If you want cilantro to sprout quickly, the most basic thing is to ensure the seeds are fresh; they must be seeds within their shelf life and not expired, otherwise no matter how great your skill is, it will be hard to make them sprout.

The second thing to note is that, because cilantro seeds are different from other vegetable seeds, they are very hard to sprout at too high a temperature, so before sowing, we can put the cilantro seeds in the refrigerator to chill for a while, keeping the temperature at 3 to 4 degrees. If the autumn weather is cool, this step can be skipped.

Cilantro seeds are round, and before sowing they need to be rubbed apart into halves. There are many ways to rub them apart. For example, use the sole of a shoe, or a rolling pin, a beer bottle, and so on. You can also first soak them in clean water for a few hours, and then rubbing them apart is very easy.

Put the rubbed-apart cilantro seeds inside a wet paper towel, spray water every day to keep it moist, and wait until the seeds all show white before sowing them into the soil. If you are planting outdoors on a terrace, after sowing, cover with 1 cm of sand or soil, then put a layer of straw or hay on top, and in less than a week, all the seedlings come out, growing lush and green and very vigorous!

At this time, remove the hay and let them get direct sunlight. After that, water with more fertilizer water and keep plenty of sunlight, and they will grow especially sturdy and lush.

Use this method to grow cilantro at home, and it sprouts especially fast, with many and complete seedlings.

It is autumn now. Grow a few pots of cilantro at home; it looks very pleasing to the eye, and when you want to eat it, just pick some, which is very convenient and practical.
