A new type of indoor potted flowering plant that is as easy to grow as pothos, roots from cuttings, stays evergreen all year round, and is beautiful in both flower and leaf

Introduction
Green plants and potted flowers are essential decorative touches for home life. Keeping some flowers and plants at home brings many benefits - it beautifies the home and lifts your mood. "Flower Voice Potted Plant Diary, Issue 1282" introduces you to a new type of indoor plant.
Today's featured plant
Plants that can be grown indoors generally do not bloom because of the lack of light, and can only be enjoyed for their foliage, such as pothos, money tree and Zamioculcas zamiifolia. The flower introduced today is called Aeschynanthus, a new type of indoor plant that not only has beautiful leaves but also produces lovely flowers.
Aeschynanthus
Aeschynanthus, also known as lipstick plant, gets its name because its flowers look like women's lipstick. It is native to tropical regions of Asia and has not been introduced to our country for long, so it can only be found in large flower markets. It is a trailing herbaceous flowering plant of the genus Aeschynanthus in the family Gesneriaceae, with strong ornamental value, and is loved by most flower enthusiasts.
Beautiful in both flower and leaf
The leaves of Aeschynanthus are ovate, opposite, slightly succulent, evergreen all year round, emerald green and glossy; it is itself an excellent foliage plant. Its flowers have a tubular calyx, much like the tubular casing of a lipstick, and the bright red corolla extends from the calyx, peculiar and beautiful, making it lovely in both flower and leaf.
Frequent bloomer
In its native Indonesia, Aeschynanthus blooms all year round, flowering on average once every two months; red flowers with green leaves are both pretty and festive. In our country it is mostly grown as an indoor potted plant, with an irregular flowering period; with proper care it will also bloom several times a year, mainly concentrated in spring, summer and autumn.
Beautiful and spectacular
Aeschynanthus is very robust and easy to cultivate; a single section of stem can root from a cutting. It is itself a succulent plant and does not need much water - watering once every ten days to eight days is enough, making it even easier to grow than pothos. It is shade-tolerant and dislikes strong light; scattered light is enough to meet its flowering requirements, making it very suitable for indoor cultivation. It is a very popular emerging indoor potted ornamental flowering plant and well worth having.
