Newly bought azaleas are hard to care for? Put an end to 3 lazy habits and let them bloom gorgeously

Azalea is a flower that many gardening enthusiasts complain about, not because it is ugly, but because it is said to be very difficult to grow. On the contrary, as long as azaleas are well cared for, their ornamental value is very high; they produce a huge number of flowers, and the plant can also grow with a rather artistic look. Rather than calling it a potted plant, it is more like a bonsai. Newly purchased potted azaleas are especially difficult to grow. Never mind how many flowers they produce; just keeping them alive takes a great deal of effort.
But then again, no flower is really that difficult to grow; it is just that many of us gardening enthusiasts have poor habits, or do not yet understand the flowers well enough, and therefore run into some taboos in flower care, which is what causes problems in the plants' growth. Today we will introduce how to care for our newly purchased azaleas. We must put an end to the 3 major "lazy hands" mindsets, so that they can bloom gorgeously!
Watering: Because azaleas prefer moisture and fear drought, and are prone to dying from lack of water, when caring for azaleas we should keep the soil moist. It is best to grow them with a water-holding tray under the pot. Never wait until the soil is nearly dried out before watering; in severe cases it cannot be saved. Because of this, many people water their azaleas frequently, which also leads to overwatering and root rot. So when watering, you must control your hands: do not water too much or too little; the potting soil just needs to be slightly moist.
Acid-loving: Azaleas are a typical southern flower. If you want them to grow well, an acidic growing environment is essential. Leaf mold is a very good acidic soil. When preparing potting soil, we should use more of this acidic leaf mold. And when watering, especially with tap water, we should add some vinegar and ferrous sulfate to acidify the alkaline water; otherwise, over time, the leaf mold will also become alkaline! This seriously affects the growth of azaleas!
Temperature: Azaleas are rather afraid of heat. In high-temperature weather, we should move them to a cool, ventilated place for care. We can also use a spray bottle to spray water to lower the temperature, but this trick cannot be used during the flowering period, otherwise it easily causes the flowers to age prematurely and drop. It is precisely for this reason that when caring for azaleas, we need to move them according to the temperature, which requires us to be diligent with our hands. Only then can we grow azaleas well!
Growing azaleas is indeed rather troublesome, but to keep them alive and grow them well, you must be diligent. This is also the nature of azaleas; there is no way around it.
