In summer and autumn, there are so many beautiful fresh flowers. Many flowers can last two to three weeks in view, and you can buy them and put them straight into a vase. If you want to learn how to wrap a bouquet better, the article below can help you, and beginners can arrange flowers just like professional florists.

If you want to take professional gardening courses, it might cost you several thousand yuan, but the method below can take the place of those techniques. You need to prepare enough materials: a vase, transparent tape, sharp scissors, clean water, and some fresh flowers and leaves.

1. Choose the flower materials

When buying fresh flowers, be sure to buy some small flowers and some foliage. You can choose one type of large flower, such as the common large white peony, and the small peony on the right, while for foliage you can choose the most common eucalyptus leaves, gardenia leaves, maple leaves, and so on.

If you want them to stay fresh longer, you can choose some shrub-type flowers, such as the common wintersweet and snow plum.

2. Choose a vase

I suggest choosing a vase with a wider bottom and an opening at the top that is not too large. You should also not choose containers that are too shallow, because then your flower materials will not stay fresh as long. This is because the flower materials need their bottoms trimmed every day and the water changed every day to keep them in view longer.

3. The clever use of transparent tape

Next you can get ready to arrange the flowers yourself. After removing the leaves from the bottom of all the flower materials, you can use transparent tape to wrap a grid pattern across the top of the vase. The size of the grid is determined by the diameter of the flower stems.

4. Add clean water

Next, pour clean water into the vase. To keep fresh flowers for longer, you need to change the water every day. If you want the stems to absorb water better, you can add a little sugar, such as the common white sugar, cola, or edible vinegar, but the amount must not be too much, generally no more than five drops.

Next, cut the bottoms of the fresh flowers at an angle, with the cut at about 45 degrees. Also remove the leaves from the bottom of the stems, and do not let the leaves soak in the water, otherwise they will easily rot and stink, which will shorten the life of the bouquet.

5. Flower arranging techniques

Arranging flowers in a vase does not need to be too particular, but you should still pay attention to some basic principles. Do not put too many colors in one vase, no more than three at most, otherwise it will look very messy.

When choosing flower combinations, match them according to your own preferences; there are not many strict rules. However, I suggest adding some green leaves appropriately when combining flowers, as this will look fresher and more natural.

For the flower combination, you need to choose the main flower well. The main flower is usually placed in a prominent position and should be somewhat larger. Also pay attention to choosing some small accent flowers; the color and shape of the accent flowers must not steal the main flower's spotlight.

When placing the main flower in the vase, you also need to choose a suitable height; it cannot be too short or too long, so before arranging the flowers you should first compare and measure it against the vase.

The flower arranging method above will make you look more professional, and the bouquet you arrange will be more charming and fresh.

The above is the flower arranging process. Isn't it simple? You can try it yourself; it will look even better than a bought arrangement.
