Once the hot summer has passed and the weather turns cooler, the flowers we grow at home start growing again! Autumn is a crucial stage for many flowers! Take the three flowers below, for example: if you don't care for them properly in autumn, you won't see them bloom in winter!

1. Christmas cactus

The Christmas cactus comes in many flower colours and its blooms are very beautiful; it can generally bloom from winter all the way through to spring!

Whether the Christmas cactus can bloom in winter is decided directly by how we care for it in autumn. First, we must make sure it gets enough light; second, we must give it plenty of water and fertiliser! As long as these two things are guaranteed, it will usually start growing flower buds by October!

2. Clivia

Clivia grows rather slowly during the stuffy, high-temperature summer season, but once the weather cools in autumn, its growing period kicks off! The work we need to do for clivia in autumn - one very important thing - is to change its potting soil. I explained the method for changing its soil specifically in an article a few days ago!

Clivia's flowering period is around the Spring Festival. If it is a mature clivia, in autumn you should first increase the temperature difference between day and night, and second give it potassium dihydrogen phosphate 2-3 times a month, so that it can bloom smoothly around the Spring Festival!

3. Cyclamen

Cyclamen has brilliant flower colours and looks especially festive, and it can bloom from December every year all the way to May of the following year, so many flower lovers also call it the "New Year flower"!

After a summer of dormancy, cyclamen enters a peak growing season in autumn. Since cyclamen's roots are tuberous roots, when watering you must remember to water only after the soil has dried out completely, otherwise the tuber can easily rot!

The three flowers above are very beautiful. If there is anything you don't understand about caring for them, you can leave Chengcheng a message in the comments section!
