During holidays you always receive fresh flowers, but keeping them in water only lasts about a week, and then they basically rot! What to do? Yatou teaches you a little trick: turn fresh flowers into dried flowers, and you can keep them for as long as you like!

1. Air-drying method

If you don't want to make dried flowers professionally, some people use desiccants, but what Yatou introduces here is a method that costs no money!

First, tie the bouquet up like this! The ones sold outside usually have a layer of wrapping paper, so remove it; inside it is basically already tied. Or if you have well-blooming Chinese roses at home. Roses, no matter what kind of flower, can all use this method.

Find a room or balcony with good ventilation (relatively dry, but not with wind blowing directly, so the petals don't fall off). If you have more flowers, you can string up a rope, or hang a few hooks, and hang the flowers upside down as in the picture, and let them dry slowly!

Microwave method

If you have a microwave at home, you can borrow it for a bit! It is mainly suitable for certain impatient people; using a microwave can speed things up even more!

Find a plate that can be heated in the microwave, put the flowers on it, heat for one minute and take it out to check. If it is not dry yet, heat for another minute, to avoid overheating! After heating, just dry it in the sun for a day, and it will basically be ready!
