Cymbidium orchids are evergreen plants, green throughout all four seasons.

Cymbidium orchids are plants of the Orchidaceae family, genus Cymbidium. It is a general term for cultivars in the genus Cymbidium that have been bred through artificial hybridization, with brilliant colors and large flowers.
I have grown many pots of cymbidium orchids in my yard, of various cultivars. When I first saw them, I only saw their dark green appearance, and for a long time I never saw them bloom. I thought they were a kind of plant that does not flower. It was not until January of the following year that I suddenly saw flower buds emerging on one of the pots, and over the next few days, the other pots also produced flower buds one after another. The flower buds hide among the leaves; having grown used to their green leaves, suddenly seeing a touch of color among the leaves was quite a unique pleasure. Gradually, there were more and more flower buds, and flowers opened one after another. Each pot had a different color: tender yellow, egg yolk yellow, rose red. When they were at their most vibrant, they were truly beautiful, really adding color to the cold weather.
Many already-planted cymbidium orchids are sold on the market; they are very beautiful, and the price is not expensive either. If you like growing them, you might as well buy flower roots and plant them yourself. I often see on the streets of the old town people specifically selling planted flowers; they also sell some rhizomes, and in fact these rhizomes are very easy to grow. Or if a friend has them at home, you can also ask your friend to divide a few plants for you to grow.
Prepare a flower pot, generally a larger one, because cymbidium orchid leaves are relatively long, and when they grow they form a very large clump, so a large pot is suitable. Normally you also need to prune the leaves; they will continuously grow new tender shoots, and old leaves will also wither. Cut off the withered yellow leaves, and then a pot of cymbidium orchids will be green all year round, including when they bloom, and there will not be a time when all the leaves turn yellow and wither.
Cymbidium orchids that have been grown for more than a year can also be divided into separate pots, which makes them look more beautiful. So, if you happen to be around when a good friend is dividing their cymbidium orchids, you can get a lot of rhizomes to plant yourself, and there is no need to buy them at all.
Cymbidium orchids need attention to ventilation, and the frequency of watering should not be too high. Wait until the soil looks a bit dry before watering. Too much watering will cause root rot, and a whole large pot may die. But they also cannot be left without water; they still prefer a slightly moist environment.
Cymbidium orchid plants are upright and tall, with flower stems that are erect or drooping, and large, brilliantly colored flowers. They are mainly used as potted ornamentals. They are suitable for placement on indoor flower stands, balconies and windowsills, appearing more elegant and luxurious, with a high level of taste and charm. If several plants are combined into a large potted display, it is suitable for arrangement in hotel lobbies, shopping malls, stations and airport halls, extraordinarily impressive and eye-catching. Cymbidium orchids are loved by people for their majestic plant form and huge flowers.
