Many friends love growing flowers but don't know which ones to grow. These two flowers are effortless to care for, need no frequent fertilizing or pruning, are not prone to pests, and are especially easy to plant.

Plant these two flowers in autumn, toss one "bulb" into a pot, and next April the pot will be full of blooms, with big, brightly colored flowers!

AmaryllisIt belongs to the Amaryllidaceae family and is a plant very well suited to gardening. Whether grown in a small yard or a small flower pot, it is very simple and convenient.

To grow amaryllis, you only need to dig up a few bulbs from relatives or friends, because after growing amaryllis for one year, the pot will produce especially many small bulbs, that is, scales. Just dig up some bulbs at random and plant them in a flower pot; even the most ordinary garden soil will do, and not much fertilizer is needed. After burying them in the pot, water promptly, and they will sprout half a month later.

The following April they will bloom, with flowers in pairs, big, bright and beautiful.

When caring for amaryllis normally, it is best to add one-tenth sand to the potting soil to increase drainage and aeration. Under high summer temperatures it needs shading. After growing for more than a year, it should be moved to a larger pot, or the amaryllis bulbs in the pot should be separated and planted apart, so one pot can be divided into several pots.

LiliesTheir flowers are fragrant and beautiful, filling a whole room with scent, so you don't even need to buy them from a flower shop. Lilies are also very simple to grow.

Find some bulbs; as long as they are not damaged or moldy, they will do. Prepare an ordinary flower pot, and the soil only needs not to be compacted. In autumn, toss the bulbs into the pot, cover with a little soil, and they will sprout in less than a month.

In winter, as long as the temperature does not drop below zero degrees, it is fine; they are fairly cold-tolerant. During the spring growing period, give them some phosphorus and potassium fertilizer.

By March or April of the following year, the lilies will produce flower buds and open beautiful, fragrant blooms.

After growing for one or two years, the lily bulbs in the pot will grow more and more, so they should be dug out and divided into new pots, planting even more pots.

At first the flower lover planted only one or two lilies, and later, by dividing the pots, planted a great many lilies.
