Nowadays, more and more people find taking a shower a rather blissful thing, because after working outside all day, coming home and happily taking a shower is really great, especially after we finish exercising and are covered in sweat, smelling strongly and feeling not comfortable at all. Speaking of showering, we definitely need a water heater. In fact, many people don't realize that if a water heater isn't washed for half a year, beware, the "bacteria" inside may be more than in a toilet. Let me teach everyone a trick so it stays clean for a year!

In fact, when many people clean their home appliances, they rarely clean the water heater. If we don't wash the water heater for a long time, there will be a lot of dirt inside it, and when we shower at home, the showerhead's water flow gets smaller and smaller as we use it. This is actually because the dirt inside the water heater has clogged it. Sometimes after showering we even find red spots on our bodies, which is caused by bacteria because the water in the water heater is too dirty. So when we usually clean up at home, it's best to clean the water heater as well. Below, let me teach everyone a trick that can keep it from needing a wash for over a year.

First, when washing it, you must unplug the socket, which is also for everyone's safety, then just turn off the water valve. And when cleaning, you must turn off the power in advance, and wait until the water inside has cooled before we can clean it, to avoid bringing yourself unnecessary trouble.

Then we find the drain port of the water heater. Every water heater has a corresponding drain port, and the water heater's caps come in three different colors. The cold water port's color is blue, and it's the water inlet; the hot water port is red, and it's the water outlet. The most important one is the white cap beside it. This cap is what we often call the sewage drain port. We just need to open this port, and the dirty water inside the water heater will come gushing out.

After we drain the dirty water, rinse out the dirt inside with clean water, and that's it. Then put the white cap back on, and fill the water heater with water until it's full. If the scale inside is hard to wash out, you can just open it up, take out the magnesium rod inside the water heater, and then rinse it with water. If the magnesium rod inside is broken, just go to a hardware store and buy a new one to install. Also: in our daily use, we can set the temperature to between 50° and 60°C, because when the water temperature exceeds 85°C, the scale inside will increase rapidly.

So if a water heater isn't washed for half a year, the "bacteria" inside really are more than in a toilet. Learn the trick above, and it can keep your water heater clean for a year!
