Can jade plants bloom? Get this one thing right and flowering is easy

Yesterday a gardening friend left a comment asking how to get a jade plant to bloom. Actually, whether a jade plant can bloom depends on care. With good care, it may bloom in just two or three years! But with poor care, it may not bloom in five or six years, or even seven or eight years!
So how can you grow a jade plant well?
First,To grow a jade plant well, there is one very key factor: soil! The roots of a jade plant are fine fibrous roots, and this kind of root system requires soil that is absolutely loose and breathable! So when mixing soil, granular soil must make up a fairly high proportion!
Leaf mold plus coarse river sand is the best option. If you do not have leaf mold on hand, use garden soil plus coarse river sand, but if you use garden soil, coarse river sand must make up more than 60% of the mix!
Second,Jade plants love light very much. Only in an environment with sufficient light will they grow relatively fast. If grown indoors, you can safely give it sun all year round. If grown outdoors, apart from shading it at noon in summer, at other times also place it in a spot with plenty of sunlight!
Third,As a landscape potted plant, a jade plant must be pruned regularly. Timely cut off some overly thin, weak, and leggy branches, so that its plant shape will be very beautiful!
In addition,Although a jade plant can grow well without fertilizer, if you want it to bloom as early as possible, you still need to give it some fertilizer. Normally, apply a three-element compound fertilizer once a month, and every spring, additionally supplement it with some monopotassium phosphate to promote flowering!
Jade plant care is relatively simple. As long as you remember these two points, it will basically bloom in two or three years!
