Hydroponic plants are rapidly becoming popular for their elegance, cleanliness, good looks and easy care. Would you like to try a few pots at home too?

1. Pennywort

Its round little leaves look just like tiny copper coins, especially cute, and it also carries the meaning of attracting wealth.

Water that is too deep easily rots the roots, so growing it in a shallow, wide-mouthed container is best. It is not fussy about water at all; change it once every four or five days, and ordinary tap water is fine.

However, it quite likes sunlight, so remember to give it some sun every day.

2. Spider plant

As the gentleman among flowers, the orchid is loved by many for both its character and its appearance, and hydroponic growing makes it look even more elegant.

Its growth and adaptability are both strong; change the water once a week and it will thrive.

3. Pothos

Give it a little water and it returns you a mass of lush green foliage. It is extremely popular, and its verdant presence can be seen everywhere.

Stick a stem or leaf in water, and within a few days it will take root and sprout, beginning a new life.

4. Hyacinth

A flowering plant with rather vigorous vitality, with green leaves and brilliant flowers.

It likes a cool, airy environment with plenty of sunlight. In November, place the bulb in a glass bottle; there should not be too much water, just enough to cover the bottom of the bulb.

Around the Spring Festival it will bloom into beautiful flowers, absolutely the brightest sight of winter.

5. Bromeliad (Guzmania)

A spot of red among green leaves, with a particularly cute shape, plus its meaning of good fortune and good luck, it is naturally a must-have for the home.

Hydroponic care is very easy: give it some sun in moderation, do not use too much water, about one third of the way up the plant is enough, and add a little nutrient solution for even better growth.

6. Lucky bamboo

Flowers bloom for wealth, bamboo brings peace. Evergreen through all four seasons, it is not bamboo, yet it has bamboo's elegant charm, with very high ornamental value.

Before roots grow, change the water once every three days; after roots appear, simply top up the water as needed. Simple and clean, is it not?

7. Peace lily

Green leaves and white flowers, fresh and lovely.

Place it in a spot with light and ventilation, and top up promptly when it lacks water, just about one third of the way over the roots.

8. Dracaena fragrans

Its stems are sturdy and vigorous, its leaves emerald green, giving a feeling of rustic elegance.

Its vitality is tenacious; as long as the water does not dry up, it will keep doing just fine.

9. Asparagus fern

The bamboo of refinement, with fine, tiny leaves, and an overall shape as delicate and beautiful as a little tree.

A hydroponic asparagus fern adds even more refinement. Place one pot on your desk, and it always feels as if the whole space has been elevated.
