In 2019, is it still necessary for farmers to farm the land? What are the reasons?

Do you think it is still necessary for farmers to farm the land in 2019? Why? Farmers not only need to farm the land in 2019, but must also continue to cultivate the land. If farmers do not farm, what will they themselves eat, how will the country remain stable, and how will society develop? That would be the biggest joke of all.
Food is the first necessity of the people, and land is the foundation of grain! This is the foundation of the country. Only when agriculture is stable can the country have the driving force for development and the direction to move forward. At present, China's agriculture is in a very awkward position. Agricultural input products are rising in price every day, while the three major products produced by farmers have barely increased in price for more than ten years, staying unchanged. In fact, farmers' income is decreasing year by year. The cry that farming does not make money is rising wave after wave, and farming is almost losing money. Where is the way out for farmers, and where is the way out for agriculture?
Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth. Without practice, one has no right to speak. The development of agriculture cannot simply rely on slogans. Some poverty alleviation efforts that draw a pie in the sky can only bring farmers a fleeting glimmer. The real development of agriculture still requires following these paths.
First, China is a large agricultural country but not an agricultural power. A large population with little land is the basic national condition. The smallholder economy of one household after another can only simply sustain the livelihood of those who farm the land, that is, it can only solve the problem of food and clothing for those who farm. However, if society is to develop and agriculture is to progress, reducing the number of farmers is the only necessary path. Therefore, developing cities, developing industry, and "using industry to support agriculture" are the most important. We should use the industrial economy to give back to agricultural production, increase subsidies, increase the non-agricultural income of farming farmers, vigorously develop various enterprises mainly based on agriculture, make agriculture move toward industrialization, enterprise management, and large-scale operation, develop contract farming, and use contract farming to drive agricultural development.
Second, review the development of agriculture. From digging the land with a hoe, to plowing and harrowing with a plow and harrow, to mechanized farming, it has developed step by step, but none of it has departed from the fundamental act of planting. If the land is not cultivated, what will sustain people's food, clothing, and daily needs in society? "Food is the first necessity of the people, and grain unrest brings chaos to the world." Without stable grain, anything else is nonsense and a source without a root. In agricultural development, planting is the foundation. Increasing the level of agricultural mechanization can only reduce the labor intensity of farmers, and cannot fundamentally solve agricultural problems. The continuous advancement of agricultural science and technology is precisely raising the quality and yield of agriculture and increasing the land output rate. This is the key to solving livelihood issues. Farming the land is the lifeline of farmers and also their own profession. Therefore, developing agriculture is the foundation for solving farmers' livelihood issues.
Finally, the development of agriculture involves nothing more than several aspects of the process. Land cultivation goes from simple extensive management to refined intensive management. Land management also follows the pattern that after long division there must be union, and after long union there must be division. The separation of the three rights, land trusteeship, and land transfer will become the inevitable path for agricultural development. The farm owner model of planting will gradually replace traditional agriculture. Survival of the fittest points out the direction for agricultural development. Only by tackling farmers' difficulty in seeing a doctor and difficulty in providing for old age, striving to break the unequal social distribution pattern left under the dual structure, and solving and handling farmers' old-age care issues from the root, will there be hope for agricultural development. Farmers who farm the land will then have something to look forward to, and agricultural planting can continue to develop in a sustained and healthy way.
