In gardening it is inevitable to struggle with pests and diseases. Today I will give a few examples to help everyone deal with pests better.

Red spider mite

Symptoms: The red spider mite is the most common pest in gardening. Red spider mites are very small, only the size of a needle tip. They are red all over, and only people with good eyesight can observe them carefully. Because of this, they are usually overlooked. Though small, they are powerful: if plants are severely damaged by red spider mites, the leaves turn yellow and then curl, and other terrible things happen. The leaves show a web-like whitening.

Cause: Red spider mites occur mainly because the air is too dry and not circulating.

Solutions:

1. Keep the surrounding air humid; when red spider mites are found, directly place the plant in water and rinse it.

2. Dilute dichlorvos emulsifiable concentrate 800 times and spray it on the plant leaves.

Aphids

Symptoms: There are many varieties of aphids, with a total of 10 families and about 4400 species. They are the main killers of plants. Aphids are about the size of sesame seeds. They are green, and when found they cover the branches and leaves of plants. Plants damaged by aphids show symptoms such as yellowing leaves and curling.

Solutions: 1. When aphids are found, act ruthlessly and rinse with water. Simple and effective.

2. Dilute dichlorvos emulsifiable concentrate 800 times; you can also use trichlorfon diluted 1000 times or yaqingling diluted 1000 times, and spray the branches and leaves.

Leafminer

Symptoms: Leafminers look similar to flies, but are smaller than flies. When they appear, they mainly damage the leaf mesophyll of plants. If the damage is relatively severe, web-like tunnel stripes can be seen on the front of the leaves.

Solutions: 1. Manually remove the larger leafminers.

2. You can place it under a faucet and rinse it.

3. Remove the diseased leaves and burn them to reduce leafminer breeding.

4. Use yaqingling solution diluted 800 times to spray the plant leaves, which can also effectively control them.
