Want your plants to bloom? Bury some soybeans in the soil as fertilizer, and flower buds will pop up like crazy
Generally, during the period from the growing stage to the flowering stage, plants need a large amount of nutrients to support them. If fertilizer is not applied on time at this time, they may fail to bloom or bloom poorly. Huahua's jade plant at home used to be like this too. Fortunately, Huahua learned some little tips for care during the flowering period, and here they are to share with everyone!
1. Stick a few soybean seeds into the soil
Before, Huahua never thought soybean seeds could have such a big effect, but facts have proved that they are indeed useful. Soybean seeds themselves contain a large amount of protein. When placed in the soil, the protein is slowly released and will provide enough nutrients for flowers and plants, so they naturally grow more vigorously too.
The method of using soybean seeds is relatively simple. The first step we need to do is put the soybean seeds into a pot, add water, and boil them until soft. Softened soybean seeds will ferment better. The next step is to dig a few small holes in the soil of the flower pot, then put our boiled soybean seeds in, and finally bury them with soil. In this way, the soybean seeds can slowly ferment by themselves in the soil, and the nutrients released during fermentation will also be slowly absorbed by the plant, so blooming will not be a problem!
2. Sheep manure balls
Actually, everyone knows that manure and other farmyard fertilizers are wonderful helpers for plants to supplement nutrients, because they contain discarded residues of various foods, and therefore have very many nutrient elements. Sheep manure balls are made from sheep manure. In this way, when they are put into flower pots, sheep manure balls can play their huge role.
When growing flowers, we cannot directly pour sheep manure into flower pots. It needs to be fermented before use. First, put the sheep manure balls into a sealed container with water, then place it in a sunny place to ferment for about 30 days before use. When watering, we can also apply a little diluted sheep manure ball fertilizer water at the same time. In this way, the flower roots become strong, and the amount of blooming naturally increases too!
3. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate
When choosing flower fertilizer, we usually pay attention to the elements in it. The most common fertilizer for flowers and plants is one containing phosphorus and potassium elements. We can choose potassium dihydrogen phosphate instead. If used during the flowering period, it also has the effect of extending the flowering period. The potassium dihydrogen phosphate sold on the market now generally cannot be used directly on flowers.
Before using potassium dihydrogen phosphate, we need to dilute it first, which makes it easier for flowers and plants to absorb. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate is generally diluted at 800 times, and then using the diluted thin fertilizer water about once every half month does the trick. We can also put the potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution into a spray bottle and spray it on the leaves to achieve a glossy effect.
The 3 things Huahua mentioned above can all be used during the flowering period of flowers and plants. They are equivalent to thin fertilizer water. If you care for them this way, you will not have to worry about poor blooming. If everyone has any other good methods, you can also leave a message to tell Huahua!
