Don't throw away used bottles; use them to grow plants, and pothos will grow into a green leaf column.
Today Huahua is going to introduce another little trick, which is using the common discarded plastic bottles in our homes to grow plants. Even pothos can be grown into a "big column." These plastic bottles can be small cola bottles or larger oil drums, and these things are all very useful for growing plants. Come take a look!
If there are many leftover oil drums at home, we can modify them into a germination tool. When taking cuttings, the thing most feared is that the newly cut branches will not sprout. With an oil drum, it is like having a relatively sealed and warm environment, so sprouting becomes much easier.
How do you make an oil drum "warm keeper"? The first step is to cut a large opening in the oil drum we have prepared in advance. After that, we can put planting soil inside. After putting in the planting soil, sow seeds or take cuttings. In this way, the survival rate will be much higher. This is because the oil drum provides good insulation, so even if cold and windy weather comes, there is no need to worry about the plants getting cold.
This is a relatively large discarded plastic bottle. Since discarded oil drums can be used as a great tool for growing plants, smaller cola bottles can do the same. We can use a cola bottle to make something great for caring for succulents. Everyone who grows plants knows that succulents are good-looking but not easy to grow. What they fear most is lack of water inside the pot and high-temperature weather. With this small plastic bottle, I believe none of these will be a problem.
We can cut a discarded cola bottle in half from the middle, then tighten the bottle mouth and fill it with growing soil. After adding soil, insert the upper half of the bottle into the lower half, so that with water evaporation the plant will grow more lushly. You can also make a few small holes in the bottle body, put the succulent branches that need to be cut into them, and then care for them normally.
Pothos is now a plant grown in every household, but sometimes when its branches grow too long and hang down, it feels a bit cumbersome. At this time, if it can be made into a pothos column, it will look much more beautiful. Plastic bottles can also help when making a pothos column.
First, dig a few small holes in the bottle body, then fill the bottom with soil to grow pothos. As time goes by, the pothos branches will gradually grow longer, and then the branches will come out through the holes. After growing for some more time, the pothos column will begin to take shape. Growing plants this way saves space and is also beautiful!
If plant lovers like the plastic bottle plant-growing methods above, they can start right now. The autumn weather is so cool; it would really be a regret not to take cuttings of a few pots of plants!
