Grafting Christmas cactus onto Pereskia
Grafting Christmas cactus onto Pereskia can be said to be the most common in the grafting world, and it has almost been played to death by flower friends. Grafting it layer by layer, you can also enjoy Christmas cacti of different colors.
Specific steps:
1. First, we need to choose a branch of Pereskia. It is best to require a relatively thick main stem, with moderate maturity, and areoles (the spots where we will graft) that have not aged.
2. Once the rootstock is chosen, we begin to prepare the scion. Choose 1-3 stem segments from the top of the Christmas cactus, use a sterilized blade to shave off the flesh on both sides of the bottom of the leaf, exposing the white pith in the middle.
Then choose the grafting position on the Pereskia, remove the leaves and branches, split it open with a knife, insert the prepared Christmas cactus leaf into the split, and fix it with a small clip.
3. When grafting, pay attention to making the wound width of the Christmas cactus smaller than the diameter of the Pereskia stem as much as possible. After grafting is complete, we can cover it with a transparent plastic bag to prevent the scion from losing water, and remove the bag after one week.

4. What was described above is the cleft grafting method. Another method is the latent bud grafting method, which mainly uses the areole position of the Pereskia.
Cut a wedge-shaped notch at the areole of the Pereskia, exposing the green pith. This time, only cut one side of the Christmas cactus, and the size should match the notch on the Pereskia. Join the Christmas cactus and Pereskia together, making sure there is no gap, and fix it with a clip.
Grafting white sand cactus onto Pereskia
The power of Pereskia continues to explode, now let's take a look at how grafting white sand cactus turns out!
Grafting white sand cactus and similar plants is very forceful. Cut a cross-shaped incision directly at the bottom of the white sand cactus, sharpen the top of the Pereskia, and insert the white sand cactus directly, with a depth of about 1cm.

Grafting other plants onto Pereskia
1. Grafting cactus ball
Grafting this kind of cactus ball may not look very pretty, but successful grafting also feels quite novel. Just imagine a slender stem growing so many spherical succulents, and it looks very interesting too.
2. Grafting monkey tail cactus
Doesn't the grafted monkey tail cactus also have a cute feel? Huahua likes this combination the most.
